Georgia's #1 RB is out for the year with a torn ACL

We lost most of the stars from our 2009 NC in the 2010 and 2011 NFL drafts. Just in the 2011 draft alone we lost Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Marcel Dareus, Greg McElroy. By the 2011 season we were a completely different team from the 2009 NC team. The 2011 LSU team was the best defense we've faced under Saban, hands down.

As for which pupil, I'm going off facts, not wishful thinking. Jimbo has won a NC, Kirby got there, and crapped the bed.
The best defense you faced doesn't necessarily equate to more talent than Bama, and that LSU offense wasn't off the charts compared to yours. LSU may have been close to Bama talent wise, but they certainly weren't superior.
Kirby got there in his 2nd year and he's 10 years younger than Jimbo and it took the best coach ever overtime to beat him.

Well you can believe whatever you want. And Less got to the NC game in his 3rd year....and he won it.

To be fair, I think Less is a better coach than Kirby is too. Not a dig, just going on what Kirby has actually accomplished vs wishful thinking from Georgia homers.

You obviously have a hard on for Kirby! What in the world would lead you to believe he is not a top tier coach? You are straight up scared of what he is building at UGA, it’s very obvious from your posts. I can’t wait to see you curl up and cry over the next few years.

What makes you think he is? Because he won the SEC?

Ok, so did Gene Chizik. And Mike Dubose, Gus Malzahn, Less Miles and Mark Richt.

You Georgia fans want to claim Kirby is the new Nick Saban, when there's just as much chance he's the new Mark Richt.

After all, Richt won the SEC in his 2nd season, just like Kirby did. Richt signed a lot of great classes and couldn't win a NC with them. So far, neither has Kirby.

Kirby may end up being a top tier coach. Or he may end up being the next Houston Nutt. You Georgia fans may want to wait till Kirby has actually accomplished something before you proclaim him the GOAT.

Kirby is recruiting on an entirely different level than Richt or anyone else you mentioned. The talent on the Lines in particular is just nasty! That is something a Richt team never had. Kirby has also put together one hell of a coaching staff to help him. I’ll bump this post many times over the next few years so you can eat your words.

Not really, see this is where you need to pump the brakes again.

Dubose signed Top 5 classes every year after his first class in 1997, which I think was Top 15.

Miles signed several Top 5 classes, so did Richt. Chizik signed one, but again, he won the SEC and NC in the same year, Kirby couldn't.

Kirby is recruiting better so far than those other coaches, but to say he is 'entirely on a different level' is just laughable.

And you have to remember, a lot of Kirby's early recruiting success is because he's selling recruits that Georgia is about to become the new Alabama. Recruits are buying on what they THINK Georgia will look like in the future.

If Georgia doesn't make the playoffs this year, a lot of recruits will show less interest in Georgia as a result. In fact, if Kirby goes 10-2 this season, many of you will view this season as a disappointment.

Look, I get it. Georgia hasn't won a NC since Jimmy Carter, and you guys are desperate to have something to be excited about. I get it. But you're putting huge expectations on a coach who may not be able to meet them.

Yall might want to tone the homerism down a bit. Kirby's off to a nice start, but he's not the new Nick Saban. When he's got 7 NCs, then we can talk about that.

You are so clueless. None of those coaches signed the number 1 class and anywhere near the talent we did last year. We will have the number 1 class again this year. Thank the refs for your title last year as it will never happen again. Bama’s days are numbered. New Dynasty starting!

Zamir White, #1 RB in the 2018 class, out for the season with a torn ACL after Saturday's practice.

Dawgs RB situation could be in trouble, they were already having to replace Sony Michel and Nick Chubb.
I foresee them being able to get Michel a 10th season of eligibility. He’s been there since before my daughter was born! No reason to leave now and take that nfl paycut

Will muschamp won 12 games his second year too...

Georgia is building something really good right now. Alabama has won 5 titles in 9 years, made the playoffs all four years and lost closely to the other two champions in the CFP era.

Florida has been a hot mess for the better part of a decade. I am going to excuse us from the best discussion for a couple years, Mullen will pick up his recruiting at Florida. It's just going to happen because he is at Florida. He is a better coach than Muschamp or McElwain, if you disagree with that I can't speak to you about it.

Now as far as Alabama vs Georgia goes, until Saban retires, it's Bama all day long. Georgia had that game until Alabama took it from you. Kirby has proven himself worthy of all the hype so far, but until he beats Saban on the field everybody will put their chips on the teacher.

Enjoy the next couple years guys, Florida will be back soon.

"What Kirby has accomplished"? In his first year, he had to clean house of the underachievers that Mark Richt had brought in. In his second year, he took Alabama and the referees to overtime in the national championship game. You are dismissing that record?!. In his first year he brought in the #3 recruiting class. In his second year, he brought in the #1 recruiting class. There's several months to go , but currently, Kirby has the #2 recruiting class. Are you also disparaging his recruiting prowess? The SEC is going to be a battle between Nick Saban and Kirby Smart for the foreseeable future. Kirby IS the future.

You could say Mark Richt did the very same thing his first two years at Georgia. 7 wins first year, won the SEC the second.

You Georgia fans are setting yourselves up for a lot of ridicule. Kirby basically has to go 12-0 this year to live up to the expectations that you guys are setting.

Carry on. LOL

You are freaking hilarious. Troll on brother. You had me going until the Les stuff. LOL

LMAO@ clear the roster of underachievers. How many 1st round picks did UGA have this year? 3 or 4? And had more than 30 seniors. All from a 10 win team the year before. Yep that roster was garbage it’s all Kirby’s great coaching that drove you the title game. It’s too bad those underachieving seniors didn’t leave when they had the chance as juniors. Wonder how good your squad would have been without the likes of Chubb, Michel, Carter, etc. I’ve never seen the fans of a program that has accomplished so little talk so much. Y’all are beyond unbearable.

This from the guy that just proclaimed his coach was 'the future' for LOSING the NC game in spectacular fashion.

You guys sound so much like aubarn fans after the 2010 season that it's painful. The only difference is, their guy actually WON the game that your boy lost.

2 years later, they were firing him and claiming his OC was the only reason why they ever won anything. We'll see where Georgia is in 2 years.

Undefeated shouldn't be expected by any team. It's extremely rare. Saban's only done it once.

We will have 2 nattys in 2 years!

Sorry to disappoint you, but the word "Alabama" isn't coming out of Kirby's mouth. You're hilarious.

I don't know who here is familiar with Bama Super Fan Persona "Dickie Nadmeyer."

But I need their tocbe a Georgia version.

Richt recruited some great classes. Prolem there is he was building ACC teams in the SEC.and he absolutely was one of the worst gameday coaches in Merca.

He sure did. Will would be scary if he knew anything about offense. To date, Will is the greatest plant in Dawg history. :D

No one here would disagree with any of that! And if you guys did plant him that was a genius move. We’ll see if Kirby fares any better going fwd

What does this even mean? You mean Sony Michel? Sony Michel that played four years and is now on the NE Patriots roster? He was at Georgia the same amount of time that Timmay was at Florida. Was there supposed to be a point you were attempting to make?

There’s a pattern here. GoMM thought Swamp Donkey was the shit. He thinks Cristobal is the shit. He suddenly thinks Pruitt is better than Kirby as a HC after previously doubting he would ever be a HC. He has spent countless hours telling LSU fans how much Less sucks. And now he’s hating on Kirby. Why? Because Kirby actually left Saban and did something. He will make a bunch of snarky comments, mostly just to troll the Dawgs. That’s who he is. He’s smarter than everyone on this board, or on any other. He is Bobbi, don’t question him or you will die in an endless thread if homerism and trolleration. If you doubt what I say, I have numerous references that can back this up.

Uh, yeah. It seemed like he was there for about a decade. To me anyway. I think it was a pretty simple premise for a joke.

He is the #1 ranked rb in the 2018 class but he's not the number 1 rb on the depth chart. Zeus will be missed but we're still very good at the position with Swift, Holyfield, Herrien and Cook.

DawgInIraq,
Bad week for top rated running backs ! UGA loses White; UA loses Sanders.

Hope Perrine & Co. stay healthy for Gators !

Trey Sanders (Alabama commit), the top-ranked running back and No. 6 overall recruit in this year’s (2019) recruiting class is out for the year as well.

"Five-star freshman running back Trey Sanders suffered a significant foot injury on the last play of the team’s practice Thursday night and is expected to miss the entire season, according to sources."

White was last year for us. He's healed and ready to go. This is Lakor bs pulling up threads that are a year old. SMH at that guy... weird is an understatement.
It is a shame to hear about Sanders though. I hate to hear about injuries for any college athlete.
