Every Bama fan knew it. We'd been calling on him to get more snaps all year. Brian Daboll had been telling Saban he was ready since midseason of 2017, it's a big reason why he decided to go back to the Patriots cause Saban wouldn't listen to him.

And again......Jalen is a dual-threat QB who at the time was known as a very shaky passer and deadly runner. Tua was known as a mobile pocket passer.

And he actually DID have to change the culture, we had a team that was so dysfunctional that the seniors literally quit on the team after the close LSU loss to 'get back' at Saban. They didn't like the fact that they played a good game against LSU, but Saban still chewed their asses after the game cause they didn't finish and win the game. That's a big reason why we lost the LaMo game the following week. DJ Hall even slapped JPW during practice.

The seniors were run off and 2008 was much better. JPW even commented the following Spring that the 2008 season was going to be better because "we got rid of a lot of people that didn't want to be here".

2017 - Georgia led Alabama 13-0 at halftime of the NC game. Everyone knew Tua was likely coming in, but Kirby not only made no adjustments at halftime, he made no adjustments in the 2nd half to Saban's adjustments. That's why Bama outscored Georgia 26-10 in the 2nd half.

2018 - Georgia led Alabama 21-14 at halftime. Again, Tua was clearly struggling and injured, but Kirby made no adjustments for Jalen when he came in. And Alabama outscored Georgia 21-7 in the 2nd half. And worst of all, he made the 4th and Kirby fake punt, which was one of the dumbest calls I've ever seen in the history of sports.


Look, I think everyone knows what your deal is. You can't stand Mullen being Florida's coach. So you are trying to prop up Kirby as being amazing, to try to spin that "See? Mullen can't do as well as Georgia's coach, he needs to go!"

It's pretty transparent, bro. Mullen will still be at Florida a decade from now so you might as well learn to love him now.

I've said all along that Kirby gets credit for getting Georgia to both championship games. Wonderful accomplishments.

He also gets the blame for losing both due to poor planning and playcalling.

In Kirby's first 3 seasons at uga he won 32 games, loss 10, won 1 div, 1 secc and 1 national championship appearance. His recruiting ranking in 2016 #6, 2017 #3 and 2018 #1.

Their first seasons are very similar.
