Gators Offer Colorado RB commit Ashaad Clayton

"...Heading into the weekend Florida hadn’t offered Clayton but the running back says that changed on Sunday morning.

“They’re in the picture, I just had a meeting with Coach [Dan] Mullen and he told my mom that I do have a scholarship to Florida,” Clayton said. “They’re in the picture and they make me feel wanted.

Next up for Clayton will be a trip to the school he’s committed to and that will be followed up shortly by a final decision.

“I’m going to Colorado for an unofficial visit,” he said on where he will visit next weekend. “I’m just weighing everything out honestly. The coaching staff over there are great, Mel Tucker is a great dude, I think I’ll make my final decision on February 5th.”

While on campus, Clayton was hosted by Chester Kimbrough one of his former teammates in high school who talked to him about what life is like in Gainesville.

It is possible that Sedrick Van Pran - 4* OC, also from Warren Easton HS in New Orleans, will take an OV to Florida next weekend.

Ashaad Clayton 4* RB & Sedrick Van Pran 4* OC, both from Warren Easton HS in New Orleans, will receive in home visits from Dan Mullen.

Would be a great two-for !

I would love to have another great RB to go with Lingard & another great OL, but flipping them from Colorado & UGA will be difficult !

Jahmyr Gibbs, Ga Tech commit, Gators didn't seem to connect during his OV; strong chance he stays with Ga Tech.

Zach Evans, released by UGA from LOI, again, Gators never seemed to connect with him. No one seems to know where he will end up.

As several posters on this site have stated, if our OL - now with Braun & Walker as EE, improves their run blocking, Lingard & all of our RBs will enjoy great seasons !

Don't think Lingard plays this year but the kid from PSU will. Pierce stays healthy...can run the ball, break tackles...I think his hands are pretty good too.... not sure about his blocking but he can run the ball. We've got and are getting talent.
