The men's team is back to #1 in the country after a strong performance at the Florida Relays. The highlight of the meet was was Arroyo's 1:45.72 in the 800, which is close to the best time in the country. Not sure what happened to him at the NCAA Indoor Championship when he did not even make the Finals, but he is a great talent. FYI, the times also qualifies him for the Olympics and he will definitely be competing for Puerto Rico in Rio. Kunle Fasisi from Nigeria also ran a great time in the 400 for a true freshman, running 45.47, which is the top time so far. Eric Futch ran the top time in the country in the 400IH and will be one of the top contenders at national. If Hall gets healthy, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that UF could go 1--2-3-4 in the 400. Right now Glass, Graham and Fasisi are ranked 1, 3 and 4 (which is based on times for last year as well). With Futch, Uruburu, Clark and TJ Holmes, the Gators may have 2 relay teams in the 4x400 that could finish in the top 8. Bates had a decent jump in the triple jump and will be a good bet to score in that event, as well as the LJ. Frosh hammer thrower Eriksson is one of the top hammer throwers in the country. Clark can score in the 100 and 200, Schnulle could come back and score in the 800, the 4x100 team is likely to place in the top 8 (of course they won last year), Yannick Hart in the high hurdles, TJ Holmes in the 400IH, Hall in the 200 and 400. No question that Florida will be in the hunt so long as they stay healthy and don't choke at Nationals.

What I don't understand is why the women are only #8. They could definitely win it all if things fall into place. They are actually deeper than the men in some ways. Indoors was an aberration. As it stands now, UF has a lot of marks that are #1 in the nation right now, with several more in the top 5.
