Yeah but considering the distribution of plays it's a miracle UF isn't getting blown out by 50 points. Considering that, the defense needs a medal of honor. Yes they have had 3 breakdowns in the secondary and two were pure luck throwing into double and triple coverage. Eventually, the other team will connect. Gators have done nothing to keep Bama off the field. NOTHING. This one is on Harris and the offensive coordinator. Plain and simple.
Treon has mailed it in. I'm not upset, it's just fact. Mac should let Grady finish out the 4th.

Nope I'm not gonna let them off the hook for those breakdowns. The offense has left them out to dry no doubt but those are also routine plays. It's not as if they gave up a score where Bama's offense physically wore them down, then by all means I'd give them a pass. You learn to turn around and find the ball in rec league. If the score is still 7-8 we call the game differently on offense too. Instead of throwing every down maybe we're more patient, run the ball a little more, burn some clock, and help keep them off the field even more.
That Dbag Lane Kiffen is still throwing the ball this late in the 4th quarter! That man is a classless asshat.
The last half of the season has caused me to lose faith in this coaching staff. Collins . . . hasn't impressed me the entire season. Mac & Nuss, why didn't they tailor the offense to Harris' strengths?

I still have faith in Mac. I have none in Nuss though. Everybody wants to blame the QB, who is no doubt a problem, but some of the issues we're seeing are ones that should have been corrected and haven't been. The bowl game will be really telling.
Here's an article from Mac early last week talking about how they forced certain things on the QB, including staying in the pocket and not running for fear of him getting injured since we have no backup QB. They mention some other scheme stuff, some of which I've pointed out. But when I said it I was just making excuses for Treon. Like I've been saying the last few weeks, Nuss is every bit as bad as Treon is.

I agree. The procrastination in getting plays in has gotten worse and worse since the UGA game. No team can win games without at least a competent offense. This offense is every bit as bad as Muschamp's worst nightmares currently. At a minimum!!!!! Harris sucks and so does his play caller. Let the chips fall on the shoulder's of whom that might be.
If I were Coach Mac I would hand Treon his walking papers, let him keep his scholarship but hand him his walking papers because Treon will never, ever make it in the NFL or Canadian Football League. Soccer, umm nope not that sport either. Farming? Yes he can go to Jamaica and grow some ganja. I swear this kid has gotten worse since last year. Maybe he can be a play relay QB in the NFL? Nope he will forget what play was called as he has done in the past few games. Seriously I think Treon lost a lot of Gator fans in the past few games and a majority feels he is a waste of team assets and a waste of air in the locker room.
Agreed. The bowl game will be very telling for me. We'll have a month to prepare and should have all our players healthy. If we can't put together something, hell anything that will be telling. Even if Treon is still playing QB. There'll be no excuses then.
What once was a very promising season,definitely went way south. Everything thing that had been built has fallen back to the ground. Happy with the first part of the season,but it looked like the mushchump era with john Brantley at QB lately. Very sad!
Well not really. The play calling can only call what he feels his QB and OLine can do. If you noticed play calling went to hell whenever Grier was suspended. Why? Treon, period...
And the play calling was good when we were putting up stinkers against ECU, UK, and Mizzou? Stop giving the staff a pass. We exploded on offense exactly one game this year...Ole Miss. The offense struggled before and after that game mightily, I've posted the numbers before. We would be better on offense with Grier now because he's a better passer. But we would still be suffering from the lack of ability to run the ball or the mind numbingly stupid calls that stall drives when we do move the ball (like reverses) or constantly getting plays in late, etc. And Nuss hasn't done anything to help any of those issues. Instead we huddle up slowly play after play, run into the teeth of the defense behind a poor line, then ask the QB to sit in that pocket and make throws to consistently beat a defense on 3rd and long, it's idiotic.
Treon is undoubtedly bad and I hope he switches to WR next year. But Nuss is just as bad. He hasn't run great offenses anywhere except Bama and even still Saban ran him off. Just last year he had an offense ranked in the 100's at Michigan. What was his issue then?

It baffles me how people can't see beyond the QB. It's straight football chick analysis. He absolutely is bad and should change positions or transfer, but to have y'all tell it just switch him out and all our issues are solved. Not sure where we ended up, but with 3 minutes left in the 3rd we had run for 15 yards. And that was only AFTER a scramble from the QB to pick up 20+. We had a NEGATIVE yards per carry average until then. Vern and Gary were freaking clowning our tackles because on multiple pass attempts they didn't even touch the damn rusher on the way to the QB. We had receivers drop balls. We had overthrows from the QB. We had false starts, etc. It was complete system failure, but please keep focusing on one position on the field. Some of y'all are morons.
It's the most important position on the field. Yes we have some other issues but Harris is really really really bad. The QB position is still the biggest problem on this team.

I don't think most are trying to pile on Treon. He's simply not a D1 quarterback, no more making excuses.

He has a fairly decent deep ball that's not always accurate. I wish I could say more but that's it. I actually felt bad for the kid, honestly wishing Mac would just pull him from the game to save him from embarrassment.

He's a huge problem, not at all THE problem. It ain't cliche, games are won and lost in the trenches and we are horrendous there. You ain't beating anybody with that. And until those other issues get fixed we aren't competing for anything. Look at Coker, he sucks. Yet his team is sitting at 12-1 and about to be in the playoffs. Why? Because he doesn't have to do anything hardly. He hands the ball off and makes 1-2 plays a game. When he throws, it's almost all short screens. He's barely asked to be a QB. There are PLENTY of QB's like that around the country. We won't be back until we can do the same.

I don't think anybody is pilling on, he deserves criticism. He's not playing well and at times has just made really dumb decisions. What's annoying though is the constant 'but the QB!' analysis that ignores everything else on offense. It's dumb and inaccurate to boot.
