Game Day Thread; Florida vs Alabama

To make matters even worse, he should have fallen down inbounds to make Bama burn a time out. What does he do? Tries to throw the ball away. Mensa candidate, not.

This play and the two forward passes on the same play burn my ass to a crisp. Harris won't be back next season. He's an idiot. Physical mistakes happen, this is going full retard though. We'll likely have a freshmen starting next year until Grier returns, and possibly longer.

Funny how before the game everyone was talking about "I'm just happy we're here" and "We have no chance."

Now the same people are furious over two mistakes that have given Alabama the lead.
I'm just bummed that we've wasted a great defense this year bc we couldn't have a functioning offense. Could have done something special

Because they gave us hope and then snatched it from us LOL

The defense is playing their asses off, they've given up exactly one bad play. Bama hasn't done chit otherwise.

You obviously haven't been a Gator fan very long. This is a Florida tradition. Great Defense. Shitty Offense. Spurrier was the exception for Gator football. Not the rule.

We need Eason to commit and convince KT and the underclass men on D to return (one can dream).

1 offensive TD against teams from the Power 5 conferences in the last 10 quarters is pretty offensive.

This is true, but you also have to remember that was the norm in the SEC before SOS.

Three yards and a cloud of dust ruled the day. Steve changed the whole league, not just UF.

With the exception of Meyer, that's probably true. Pell's best teams had some serious defenses. But we could hope for the offensive line of 1984 and 1985 again. Road graders.

And where are we as a league now?

That's right. Primarily a running game, strong defense league again. Even Spurrier played that game at South Carolina.

Aaahhhh b

I'll take Donald Douglas for 100 Alex.

That's a blast from the past. Same year Kyle Morris and Shane Matthews got suspended for playing fantasy football? LOL!!! That seems pretty silly in today's world.

We are gonna have to pick off one of cokers passes jumping the gun if we are going to have any chance while putting pressure in his face forcing a bad one off his back foot.. If henry keeps getting 4-5 on first downs we are doomed. This first drive means everything for the game and field position to start the half

Giving the defense a chance to get a turnover on Bama's first possession might have been a stroke of genius. Lord knows our offense would do nothing with it.

OT. How the hell is Muschamp a candidate for a head coaching position and Kiffens name hasn't even come up?

I genuinely feel sorry for our defense. This unbelievable defensive performance is gonna go to waste on an inept offense. smh

The defense has played great BUT up until that long pass our offense was outperforming Bama's offense. It's entirely their fault points are on the board. Our safety didn't play the ball in the air once again. Without it we're winning 7-5 right now.

The defense has been left out to try, but so was Bama's and they held up. Those plays just have to be made. If Maye just turns his head it's a pic and they don't score. The defense is worthy of every praise they get but they shouldn't be let off the hook for plays like that either.

Nay. "Primarily a running game" implies 3 yards and.... The league is mostly about match ups and spread formations. Elite runners in the SEC are like unicorns. Henry is supposedly the benchmark, but he looks average against our D.

Offensive balance and strong defense is NOW what the league is about and that's directly attributed to the OBC.

I'm not going to argue with you. I don't think a lot of people are going to agree with you.

The loser should have been fired after Go Southern loss, giving that SOB one more year and his sorry recrutiting is visible here. Its shame that this defense has no support

its like he knew his days were numbered so he purposefully screwed up recruiting

Raise your hand if you remember the 1988 or 1989 seasons?

Yes?

Those were the days of shitty offense and great defense.
