Ever thought of holding your hero, a certain William Muschamp, responsible for the debacle that left JD as our most viable option at QB? Couldn't do that though, wouldn't fit with your narrative.

If JD was pretending to be a QB, I shudder to think what Mus was pretending to be--certainly not a head coach, maybe working on his professional yelling skills?

I know they're young but this oline is just not good. They should be better at this point in the season than they are. Forget pass blocking, because that takes a while, but we can't even move FAU's dline in the run game. That second down run was just embarrassing. Before Taylor got the handoff he was hit by two guys. And there were more coming behind him.

He hasn't shown much playcalling imagination. Everyone inside and outside the stadium knows that if 1st down is an incomplete pass, you can be certain second down will be a run. Time to mix it up a little.

Agree. Nuss is predictable as hell. But we struggle even on basic zone runs. Now that said, I think part of the problem is they aren't athletic enough to run as many zones as we do, which again falls on coaching but good lord. This is FAU. They just aren't improving. Out guards can't play. They're extremely unathletic.

And we need to run more tempo. I don't know if it's because Mac and Nuss are going back and forth on the play calls but we get every single play in with around 15 seconds on the clock. That's not enough time to get set, get a presnap read, etc. And we're giving the defense time to get set. Good lord do something to help the damn QB and oline. Speed up the game and force to defense to simplify.
