With summer classes beginning Monday after a weeklong break from school, so will an important offseason of the “Swamp Life” strength and conditioning program and player-run workouts for the Gators football team as it heads into its second season under head coach Jim McElwain.

"As I've often said, the most important time - and you truly find out what your team is made of - is what they do over the summer," McElwain said last week during a conference call with reporters. "When they're out there working. When they're developing leadership. All the relationship-building that goes on during a time of year when it's easy for them to stray, so we'll find out when we get back at the end of July, just kind of just what this team is all about."

Now, Inside the Gators takes a look at five key storylines to follow this summer while the Gators participate in workouts.
