Final Playoff Predictions

You don't have to convince me, I know the ACC is garbage...but I am not on the committee, and I don't have to publicly my decisions.

If they devalued the ACC as mich as they should Clemson would not be number 1 every week.

I do not see a scenario where a 1-loss conference champ os left out for a two loss team

I don't know about "hot garbage", BUT the SEC is definitely the better conference. Here's a few things I came up with data-wise:

SEC Has 4 CFP Top 25 Teams:

#2 Bama (#3 SOS)
#8 UF (#31 SOS)
#15 LSU (#18 SOS)
#22 Ole Miss (#37)

ACC has 3 CFP Top 25 Teams:

#1 Clemson (#34 SOS)
#14 FSU (#53 SOS)
#17 UNC (#73 SOS)

* The SOS of most of the above teams (SEC & ACC) will increase with the remaining games.

SEC has:

- 3 sub .500 teams
- 2 .500 teams
- 2 6-win teams
- 5 7-win teams
- 2 9-win teams
- 0 undefeated teams

Collective W/L = 86-53

ACC has:

- 5 sub .500 teams
- 1 .500 team
- 4 6-win teams
- 1 7-win team
- 1 8-win team
- 1 9-win team
- 1 undefeated team

Collective W/L = 78-62

Head-to-Head
YEAR SEC-ACC

*2015 3-0
2014 3-5
2013 7-4
2012 6-2
2011 5-2
2010 5-4
2009 5-4
2008 6-6
2007 6-3

*Still have following games:
- FSU vs UF
- Clemson vs USCjr
- GT vs UGA
- Louisville vs Kentucky

What if a Stanford or a Michigan win out?

What if a Stanford or a Michigan win out?

No way a 2 loss team gets in above a 1 loss conference champ. Michigan needed miracles to beat Minny and Indiana, they have zero claim.

And sorry Alaska, the Big 12 is overrated, zero defense. Going into last week Baylors 9 oppnents had a combined 23 wins

Michigan also has a fluke loss to Michigan St. and they still have to play Ohio State. If they beat Ohio State then they may be viewed as a 1 loss team in some people's eyes. Their other loss was to a solid Utah team.

I'm pretty sure Michigan can still win the Big 10. They could beat an undefeated Ohio State team and then beat an undefeated Iowa team in the Big 10 champ and sure enough you will have a 2 loss Michigan team in the playoffs. Michigan is currently ahead of UNC and could finish up the season with better wins than UNC as well. UNC has ZERO good wins right now.

The PAC-12 is underrated. SEC and PAC-12 are the best 2 conferences in football.

It was a typo. I meant to put Pac over Big 12. I'll edit.

Michigan has no quality win either

Yes they do. They beat #20 Northwestern and could potentially add big wins over an undefeated Ohio State and an undefeated Iowa. Michigan does that and they are in the playoffs.

Michigan would have 3 good wins to UNCs 1 good win. Michigan's SOS would be much tougher than UNC. Michigan also would have 2 losses to two top 25 teams whereas UNC has a bad loss.

By the way looking at the upcoming schedules I wouldnt count out 2 loss Stanford either.

If UNC makes the finals which I can't see possible, but if they did; the accompanying fallout would be the end of the 4 team playoff.

It would quickly usher in a 8 team scenario. IMHO

It is my opinion that if Stanford and Michigan win out and win their conference championship that both of them with 2 losses would get in over a 1 loss UNC. Michigan for sure would be selected over UNC. No doubt in my mind about that.

No possible chance. Michigan would go over two teams from its own conference with better records in that scenario. Michigan winning out means B10 is left out - 100% chance. The PAC12 is already done barring numerous upsets.

Why not? They would have beat Ohio State and Iowa head to head and Michigan would be the Big 10 conference champ. Their other loss was to Utah. They also would have a tougher SOS than both Ohio State and Iowa. If Michigan wins out and wins the conference they would most certainly get selected over UNC.

My boy Fedora needs to use this season to jump ship to a big program due to this very situation.

No matter what, UNC won't get respect.

Didn't everyone say this when OSU got in last year? If these guys used all the bias logics you clowns do last years national champ never would have been in.

If anything will devalue the playoff it will be putting in a two loss team. Thats what guys like Danny and I have used as opposition to this stupid thing anyway, they devalue the season.

Michigan is not going. There games against Minnesota and Indiana were just as much fluke wins as their loss to MSU was a fluke. Even their fans know this, you are letting FSU hate block logic. And if FSU beats us, that inly strengthens their case

Again if Michigan wins out and beats an undefeated Ohio State team and an undefeated Iowa team they would most certainly get in over UNC. Better wins, better losses, better SOS, tougher conference and of course the bigger "brand". I don't think UNC wins out and I don't think Michigan does either BUT if they both win out Michigan would be ranked higher than UNC.

Remeber though, according to Paco last year, Fedora is not a very good coach. Dude would light shit up at a school like UF or UGa

Fedoras biggest draw back is that his system literally does take 3-4 years to get going.

Though I think had UNC not been on probation, it would have been a year or two quicker.

I don't want to see him at an UGA or UT.

...And come on, he wears a visor.

So funny that you define him bynnot wanting him at UT or UGa, that is EXACTLY what I was going to say about Mullen in the other thread.

Mullen got turned down at Miami for being too much of a prick.

That's um...how do I put this nicely...

Impressive.
