Grier is the guy. And if our oline continues to be this poor run blocking it has to be that way because we're gonna have to throw to have any chance at moving the ball. That said, he's definitely come back down to earth this game. He's thrown three balls right into the hands of defenders and we've been lucky they haven't held on to em. Kinda expected this though. I mentioned last week that QB's with guns try to show it off and it gets them in trouble sometimes. I think that's exactly what we're seeing.
Mac's system requires a better thrower than Treon. As long as he stays with his CSU O and doesn't revert to his Bama O then I believe Grier should play. He will play for RichRod at Miami next year
And I really don't get why Treon is in the game right now. Again, nothing against him but he hasn't played in almost two quarters. Even the announcer just mentioned he didn't even take any warmup throws and we come up the first play and throw? We're setting him and the offense up to fail. And as soon as I say that we fumble.
Treon needs to sit down and deal with it. He has far more game experience than Grier and still can't get anything done.

I still don't even know why Herndon, our 4th string walkon back was in the game. Just terrible choice all around. And then inserting Harris after sitting for two whole quarters with no warmup snaps or throws.
It's not about experience. QB's need to get in a rhythm. It's everything from the cadence to timing on routes and everything. You can't sit someone for half a game and then just throw them in cold turkey, and that goes for any QB. The frustration should be with Mac or Nuss, not Treon. He ain't putting himself in the game. This is just stupid. They want Grier to be the guy and obviously just don't have the guts to make the call. So instead we get this sandbagging on offense that ain't helping the offense at all. If it was truly a competiton we wouldn't have had our walkon back in the game. Just end the charade and be done with it.
I've never felt sorry for a player after a bone-headed move until now. Wow did Mac lay into KT.
