Do you believe in God?

Not surprising. So you believe the Holy Bible used for 1600 years wasnt the Word of God, and a King of England should be the final word.

Like I said, good for you. I have no problem with that, and my brother is an Evangelical Preacher as well. But just know that you are a product of your environment, and many more learned people than you disagree.
The first English version of the Holy Bible is important to me. I also read the Torah to place an emphasis on the life that Jesus led as a Jewish man.

Because @BSC911 delights in thinking he is trolling Christians, he always has.

His massive mistake is he assumes our faith is as fragile as his.
He doesn't seem to realize the difference between Philosophy and the Word. The Philosophers were seeking the meaning of life and God was telling you that your life without Christ is meaningless.

Sorry, you don’t get to decide who is a Christian and who isn’t. Vanity is a deadly sin.

Which John? Not John the Apostle. .

And the Book of Revelation was questioned by many early historians, including Eusebius. Some church’s exclude it from their canonical text

Doubts resurfaced during the 16th-century Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther called Revelation "neither apostolic nor prophetic" in the 1522 preface to his translation of the New Testament. Huldrych Zwingli labelled it "not a book of the Bible", and it was the only New Testament book on which John Calvin did not write a commentary. As of 2015 Revelation remains the only New Testament book not read in the Divine Liturgy of the Eastern Orthodox Church,

You just typed that vanity is a sin?

😂🤣😂

Read what you have written ITT again and then tell us again how evil vanity is.

You really can’t understand it fully unless you read it in the original Hebrew and Greek.

I'm not, nor are others of a similar mindset, blaming Satan in the way you're pretending.

Satan is real. I am responsible for my actions.
You may believe Satan is real. That doesn’t mean he is. There are a lot of things that people may believe that aren’t real.

I admit I don’t know. That’s why I put IMO. You are the one who’s vanity keeps him from understanding.

And I’m not the guy who claims he’s actually seen God. Maybe he’s seen Satan as well.

I'm not telling you what or how to believe. I'm telling you what I believe. That seems to offend you. I don't care.

What exactly is my vanity preventing me from understanding?

Your answer will sink you. Fair warning.

Exactly. I don’t know. That’s why I put IMO. And no, I don’t care what you believe. . There are a wide variety of beliefs in Christianity., and all religions.

You are the one who claims definitive knowledge. “Satan is real.”

You don’t seem to understand how the Bible was developed. The many different iterations and interpretations. The lack of veracity of authorship. The many inconsistencies and use of allegory. Just reading the Bible doesn’t make you a Christian any more than reading a menu makes you a chef.

As one example, just because the Bible says snakes can talk doesn’t mean they really do,

Is that what I did?

I haven't told you what to believe, not once, ITT or any other. I told you about my faith. I haven't said "IMO" because my faith isn't "IMO."

If you want to believe that Satan and the Bible, or most of the bible...or whatever you believe in regards to the Bible, are made up...that's your purview and your choice.

I'm simply stating that I disagree and that I have another view.

We've had this discussion. It bore no fruit.

I could not disagree with you more.

You can intimate, or flat out state, that i don't understand how the Bible came to be until you are blue in the face if you like. You believe that I don't, I believe that you suffer from a crisis of faith.

I can live with that. Can you?

I haven't. But I've seen and heard God, and God tells me to beware of satan, so I do.

He also tells me to beware of those who want to push me away from His teachings. I listen to Him on this as well.

Arguing all of the dogma details is utterly useless....

IMOHO, this is the most relevant fact concerning any belief in a God.

Even in an Infinite Universe >>>> Something can not come from nothing....
