Football Creeper Defense Question

I'm far from an expert on defensive strategies, but I know that Napier prefers to run a creeper defense as he has hired 3 DCs who run that type of defense. Can somebody explain to me what a creeper defense means in layman's terms and does anybody know if other teams in the SEC run the same style of defense?
