I watched Hans Von Spokovsky this afternoon on NewsMax. Hans is former member of Federal Election Committee. He says Texas has a rock solid case. Supremes will punt. They don't want to get involved with politics. Supremes will send signal to states they won't have to worry about confines of Article II of the Constitution. We should know no later than Monday.

Apparently Alito voted for hearing case but said if they had taken the case they couldn't have given them the relief they wanted.

That sounds like he's saying the states went against the Constitution but we can't undo their cheating. Curious that he would add they couldn't have ruled for them regardless.
