"The bill could have been better, but McConnell kept it from becoming much worse. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer tried to stuff completely unrelated, purely ideological policies into the relief package, such as student loan debt forgiveness, early voting requirements, carbon emission standards, “corporate board diversity” rules, and additional funding for Planned Parenthood. Even Schumer admitted that most of this wish list had to go by the wayside: “This is not a moment of celebration,” he said in a statement Wednesday morning, “but one of necessity.”
So sad that dems worked against this administration and the Senate at this time when Americans are hurting and needing help. This will be remembered at the ballot box in November.

Ah, I see now why you are so giddy. Apparently they changed the language so it's not taxpayers, but 'adults' get $1200 and children get $500.

Just saw some approximate numbers on the Chinese Kung-Flu.
About 55,000 Americans are known to be infected, with 804 deaths, for a 1.46% death rate.
IMO, this does not justify shutting down the nations economy.
With the results of the 2 (already approved) drugs used to stop it, they should be used.
Continue with the good medical advice and people should just go on with their lives.

I say this with both me and my bride being in the high risk group.

Seems the dems tried to pull another fast one, they added a provision to boost unemployment benefits by $600 a week. Meaning most of the people getting unemployment would make more by NOT working than working.
Senate Republicans already saying they will vote against plan if this isn't removed. Which will likely kill it, then dems will tell sheep that republicans killed plan to get money in their pockets.

Seems pretty obvious at this point that dems were desperate to stop money from going to hurting Americans. Because they felt it would be a winning election issue for Trump. Nevermind that people needed help, dems could care less.
So dems decided "Ok, if we are gonna do something for you guys, then you guys are gonna have to do something for us and support a cause we are passionate about".
Such as, voter fraud. Dems knew checks to Americans would help get Trump re-elected, so they wanted to hedge that by making it easier to commit voter fraud.

BTW, now that the Kennedy Center got their millions, guess what they did immediately?
They fired their 100+ musicians so they don't have to 'share the wealth' and can instead line their own pockets, and those of the Dim-Moe-Rats that got them their undeserved cash...
