Bud Lite is boycott target

Most beer tastes like piss smells, so I'm not a huge fan. I can only drink light clear beers and it better be down at the nearly freezing point or it's just swill to me.

I enjoy fake beer like Ultra, Miller Lite..most like that I guess. I've always hated Budweiser products...not just since it started turning you ghey.

I have a completely different battle plan than both of you. I drink beer when I either can't afford whiskey or need to be able to do things the next day.

Mich Ultra tastes pretty close to Michelob. But I once tried to get drunk on it and gave up about ten beers in. The explanation from my buddy that buys it regularly is he likes drinking beer but he has to go to work in the morning and doesn't want to get fatter than he already is.

Bud Light tastes nothing like Bud Heavy. Adding insult to injury it takes forever to get drunk on, and when you are buying it by the bottle and you have formation at 0700 is a pressing concern.

I'll drink enough sometimes to catch a buzz but that's rare.

It's mostly something I'll do while working the grill. And like your buddy, Ultra causes fewer sit-ups and burpies tomorrow so I've developed a taste.

My go to beverage while outdoors is Twisted Tea. Why? It tastes like tea somewhat, I drink a pitcher of tea (with artificial sweetener) per day since I got tired of paying a ransom for diet cokes since covid inflation. It's got a fairly high alcohol content but a six pack about all I can do, the lemon twang gets on my nerves after a few.

I drink Ultra specifically because I don't like beer...apparently.

I dunno, I like whatever Ultra is. And Guinness, which I think is real beer, tastes like stale ball sweat...probably.

Look, I'm not saying that I know what stale ball sweat tastes like, or fresh ball sweat for that matter, but it tastes like Guinness.

Just messin' with ya, Bama Fan.

Funny AND TRUE story. I just got back from out little village store to pick up a 12er of Twisted Teas. I noticed the cooler had several empty shelves, completely bare where it is normally packed. Right next to it was an entire cooler full to the brim with Bud and Bud Light. I wish I had taken a pic. I asked the person at the register if deliveries were off. "Oh no, we got slammed last weekend, sold more beer than we've sold in a while. The distributor won't come back until tomorrow".

I went back the store to take a photo of the beer case but the delivery truck had come this afternoon. I asked the clerk about the Bud sales. She said they weren't moving at all. They were going to limit store orders to no cases per week until inventory is gone. She pointed out that she even had to remove the Bud Light sign on the door because people were ripping it down. 😂

About time the Socialist/Marxist progressive twit supporting companies got back a little of their own kind of woke repercussions....

I guess they never believed that boycotts could work in both directions....

Never drank Butt Light.

When Watney's Red Barrel Beer was no longer available, I switched to Bass Ale.
Then the bas-tads at AB stopped importing/handling Bass Ale.
😠
So for a while I was drinking Michelob Amber Bach, but no longer.

I have now switched to Coors or others, while I search for my new standard in beer/ale consumption....
🤓

My favorite beer from my W.Coast military days was from the Olympia Brewing Company, a brewery in the northwest United States, located in Tumwater, Washington, near Olympia. Founded in 1896 by Leopold Friederich Schmidt, it was bought by G. Heileman Brewing Company in 1983. Through a series of consolidations, it was acquired by Pabst Brewing Company in 1999; the Tumwater brewery was closed in 2003. 😥

The way things are going, I might need to start brewing my own craft been.... 🙄

One of their dumbest moves was getting rid of the original Michelob(not light or ultra) beer, at least IMO anyway. I don't even see MGD on the shelves, just the other Miller products.

So AB must now declare allegiance to a demographic that doesn’t consume their products anyway?

Years ago, I remember reading surveys supposedly indicating that consumers wanted corporations to speak out more about social justice issues. This must have been up there with Dewey Defeats Truman in the annals of bad polling.
The Dylan Mulvaney controversy continues to hurt Bud Light.

Barrons: Monday May, 1st 2023.

Beer Business Daily reported Sunday that Bud LIght's off-premise sales volume -- the amount of beer sold outside of restaurants and bars -- was down 26.1% from a year earlier in the week ended April 22, based on scan data. Volumes were down 21.1% in the prior week, while so far this year, Bud Light volumes are down 8%.

The figures include sales at grocery stores, convenience stores, and liquor stores.

"The shocking deterioration of Bud Light Blue's market share continued apace through the third week of April -- and actually somehow worsened. We've never seen such a dramatic shift in national share in such a short period of time," Beer Business Daily wrote on its website.

Almost two months since the boycotting of AB and there's no sign of their decline ending any time soon. It's only getting worse.
