While the numbers are small, she only got a few trademarks granted. And I don’t think she used them all.
From a financial/business impact, it was minor. She could have still operated without them, it just made the already rampant counterfeit economy in China illegal instead of legal.

A. Ivanka was issued trademarks for goods produced.
B. The Bidens were given money...for something or another.
For whatever reason, A bothers you while B doesn't concern you in the least.
But, it only means that the Chinese Government won't counterfeit her clothing line, BUT, you can almost guarantee they will do nothing to stop "someone" else from doing it. Counterfeit merchandise is big business in China.
Almost as big as counterfeit independent voters here in the States.
