Black swan event

So you feel like I'm trolling you, so you're not going to answer my question?

Good job. That's exactly why I'm not going to waste my time answering yours.
We've just been thru this several times.

I could list 5-5,000 victims of gun violence and your response would be that a gun is an inanimate object and can't hurt anyone.

I know what you people are going to say before you do.

And I know why you don't want to answer my question.

They are inanimate objects but that doesn't matter. It only matters to you all because you desperately look for ANYTHING, no matter how ridiculous, to try to defend guns.
ANYTHING! What if he does want to defend guns, what's that to you? Drink your prune juice and move on, pappy.

ANYTHING! What if he does want to defend guns, what's that to you? Drink your prune juice and move on, pappy.
It's an entertaining topic. I keep hoping you guys will learn some debate skills. Sometimes it's a little disheartening but I keep chugging away.

Fill in the blank for this statement from theo:

"You guys will say ANYTHING to defend _________"

Is the answer:

A - Trump
B - guns

It could be one just as easily as it could be the other, right? Notice he uses pretty much the same language and has pretty much the same irrational hate for Trump as he does for guns. And vice versa.

He thinks guns are a person. That explains why he is terrified of them, and thinks if you remove the guns, you end gun violence. It's also why he gets furious when we remind him that guns are simply an inanimate object.

He thinks they are real. He thinks guns are a real person. A real person that must be stopped.

We must do anything we can to stop the gun. ANYTHING!!!!

It’s not a number. Firearms are like the tools on your garage. Different types for different work
So how many different types will you need to defend your family.

Say you need:

1. Handgun
2. Shotgun
3. Rifle
4. AR style gun

What else?

Well I personally like to carry a 9 mm handgun. Easy to carry, easy to shoot and gives you more trigger pulls than a revolver. My wife ( and many ladies) prefer a revolver, maybe a .38. Will never jam like a semiautomatic can. I like a 20 gauge shotgun for any possible indoor use with family present. Less chance of going thru your walls for unintended consequences. I like bird shot for this type scenario, may not be lethal the first time, but they will wish they were dead for the brief period of time that would be needed to advance and put it their done close up. Need a 12 gauge to close range riot like conditions. And of course you need a rifle. The high capacity gas operated rifle is king as far as I’m concerned. What’s your point?

Oh. I get it. You are putting together a grocery list. You have realized how you have failed in your duties and you are trying to figure out what you need without admitting you are wrong. No shame man. You just gotta ask. Most family men love to help others catch up

Theo just fainted.

Multiple handguns for different applications, multiple rifles and shotguns for various applications.

So…unlimited amounts.

Out Founders had amazing foresight.
So, what are the different applications as it applies to protecting your family?

Let's just limit it to handguns for simplicity. So, you need a small one for concealed carry, a medium sized one for whatever and a large one for pictures. That's three. What other handguns do you need to protect your family?

Why do you care? If I have 100 guns in my house it has no effect on you or anyone else.
It's like I'd be a little concerned if you kept a bomb in your house. I'd be more than a little concerned if you had 100 bombs. I feel that way because bombs are dangerous.

Guns are dangerous too.

Are you getting ready to accuse me of wanting to totally disarm you? Sure you are. ;)

The point is you can optimally protect your family with that number of guns. I didn't count but it was like 5-6.

Need those three for each family member, then various others for various applications. If I am in the city, maybe I want my 9mm with a larger capacity. If I am hiking in bear country, I want a large caliber revolver. So again, unlimited.

Our Founders were brilliant.

Answer what? I believe I have answered all of your questions in detail. Glad to help you on your journey
nvm. You did answer with that list. I'm fine with you having what ever you need to protect your family (as long as you obey the law and don't act crazy).

I think with the right selections, this can be true for most people. However, I don’t like to tell other men what they should or should not have. There maybe factors that others face that I do not. I have created redundancy in my tool kit. In a worst case scenario ( like what happened in Israel or the summer of love ) I want to be able to help neighbors who may harbor the same views that you do. I have a feeling they would have a change of heart if they started hearing guns shots, mortars, explosions etc…. And when they have that change of heart, I won’t laugh at them, I’ll equip them and give ‘em a quick run down.

I’m very pleased that you are okay with my private activities. I am a military veteran. The implication that we act like idiots with firearms is insulting. I feel certain that I have forgotten more about responsible gun ownership than you have ever known.

Theo seems to think that anyone that has a gun is an idiot and that no one needs them. Because he wants everyone else to think like he does.

I think this is a product of the environment we have created. The prosperity and relative peace we have experienced for a long period of time has made people complacent. We believe that the things that happen in other places can’t happen here. I hope they are right, but it has done a number on our survival instinct.

It seems to me that you concern isn't about protecting your family because I've said you can have whatever you need. Your concern seems to be allowing unlimited gun sales.

Actually it is, because I can think of an application for every damn gun out there. I just gave you a couple examples thinking you had the intelligence to work through it and process the information.

I was wrong.
So, there's a separate family defense application for every single gun? That seems kinda ridiculous, right?

I think you are having a hard time understanding that I am not asking permission. What exactly were you going to do about it if I want an unlimited cache of weapons? It’s rhetorical, I already know the answer. That one of the reason we own them. We are not accountable to what folks like you think.

Right. I get it. You guys talk about defending your family but really what you want is unlimited gun sales.

You could easily protect your family with just a few guns.

Yes….No.

But even better? It’s irrelevant because our founders said unlimited. But I get it, when you can’t win on constitutionality, go elsewhere and obfuscate.

That’s something the left does well. Thx for continuing to provide the data to back up the “moderate” misnomer. You’re doing great.

So the goal is unlimited weapon sales......not protecting your family.

The goal is to have enough weapons to protect my family from people, protect my family through provision of food (hunting), but even more importantly to have unlimited weapons to form a militia if necessary. The brilliance of our founders is incredible.

Too bad “moderates” hate the constitution at the same level as leftists. Weird.
