Black swan event

We have no idea. Without the internet we lose almost everything. Some cars and in home appliances won't work without the internet.

Most rockers on the front porch should be ok, tho.
People who understand this should start with Maslow hierarchy of needs and start to hard wire them so to speak. Food, shelter, fresh water and ability to protect your loved ones. All local. Grow your food. Fit your well for hand pump. Own your home ( no renting ). All the other stuff will rust and fade away… kind of like the Bible says.

God spits the lukewarm out of His mouth. It's time we take a stand, but we've got to be in a position spiritually to stand against the assaults that are sure to come. It's easy to talk the talk...
In Luke chapter 17, the pharisees asked Jesus when they would see the Kingdom of God. Jesus answered that they look, but the Kingdom of God is already in their hearts.

I don't think we are meant to sit back and wait for Jesus to return and save us from ourselves. What are we going to do when we get to Heaven? Ask God 'Father, why did you wait so long to save us?"

What if He answers "I was waiting on you to save yourselves'? Jesus didn't come the first time to defeat our enemies for us, why would we think He was going to do that the second time?

I think He is coming back to lead us into a battle that we have decided we are willing to fight.

Till we reach that point, enjoy the misery. I think this ends when we decide we are ready to rise up into the role of priests and kings that God has created for us.

I don’t believe we have any role in our being saved outside of accepting Gods grace. We bring nothing to the table. God has already fought the battle and victory already achieved. All that’s left to do is accept.

Yes. But I don't believe God expects us to sit back and wallow in sin and depravity until He decides He's seen enough and Jesus comes back to save us from ourselves.

I don't see how that brings glory to God. I think what brings glory to God is if we rise up into the AUTHORITY that Jesus gave us back from satan by dying on the Cross for us.

If you read the Gospels, satan tempted Jesus and said he had the authority to offer Him all He could see.

After Jesus died and was resurrected, He proclaimed that He had all authority over Heaven and earth.

I think the point is satan has already been defeated, and God can save us from ourselves whenever He wants to.

I think He is waiting on us. He is waiting on us to become the kings and priests and to grow into our authority.

Remember the Bible says even Jesus doesn't know the hour of His return. I think it happens when we decide we have had enough and we are going to fight back against the forces of evil.

And for the record, telling ourselves that we better accept abortion if we want to win elections is a sure sign that we aren't headed toward New Jerusalem anytime soon.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I’m not sure that I agree that we were given authority over this world by virtue of His death and resurrection. We were given eternal life and forgiveness. The devil is still the governor of this world. We are instructed to live in the world, but to not be of the world. The apostles were martyred after Jesus death. To me it’s clear that the devil still has jurisdiction here.

It's definitely worth researching. All I will say again is if you are interested, look closely at how God details the authority He is giving Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in the book of Genesis. They lost that authority when they defied God and ate of the Tree of Knowledge.

Then in the gospels, satan tempts Jesus and claims he has authority over all Jesus sees and Jesus DOES NOT CORRECT HIM.

After Jesus is resurrected, He proclaims He has all authority on earth. But He said that while in the form of a man.

I think His death was what allowed man to reclaim authority over earth, from satan. And if this is what happened, satan did it to himself by tempted Judas to betray Jesus. satan thought he would win by having Jesus die, when in reality that sealed his fate.

IMO.

I have positioned myself as to not need to take what belongs to others. However, if you share gator Theo views on guns ( which it kind of looked like you did earlier ) then someone will be taking what is yours. I’m sure they will take it easy on you if you tell them you worked for it.
I support 2A 100% but to me it’s not real smart to broadcast how many firearms one may or may not have in their home.
I’m more of a FAFO Person.

Oh. I hasn’t seen anyone broadcast how many or what type. Just people supporting gun ownership and then theo thinking no one should have a gun.
Theo is fine with you owning a gun. As long as you only use it in the ways that Theo believes is acceptable. Does that sound more like a liberal or a conservative?

Here's the thing: 70% of theo's views align with liberals. 20% align with moderates and 10% with conservatives.

Theo thinks that makes him a moderate.

I don’t think it’s anyone’s business who owns a gun unless they’ve been convicted of a felony or they’re on some anti-psychotic drug and are dangerous to themselves or family/neighbors.
On my street I couldn’t tell you who owns a gun.

That fine. To each there own. I have no problem with people knowing that I own firearms. I have a problem with people telling me how I am allowed to protect my family. If you
Got no beef with that, I’m not even sure why you are arguing with me

So how many guns do you need in real life to feel confident that you could protect your family? 1? 5? 10? How many?

Why? You guys are so concerned about being able to protect your family. Surely there must be some number of guns that would enable you to protect your family. Do you have all you need right now?

You claimed that guns cause problems in America.

Ok, the floor is yours: List the problems that guns cause in America.

Yes, we know you think guns are inanimate objects that can't hurt anyone.

But answer my question: How many guns would you need to feel comfortable that you could protect your family?

So you feel like I'm trolling you, so you're not going to answer my question?

Good job. That's exactly why I'm not going to waste my time answering yours.
