This. I think the vast majority do not understand that there is no indication that our electric distribution system is anywhere near capable of having 50%, much less 80-100% electric car up take. Its not just from a capacity short fall...even if we generated enough electricity to serve this demand...the distribution facilities ( power lines / protetive devices / sectionalizing devices ) are simply no where near rated to do this on the whole. Its nuts, total lunacy.
