Bama’s Jones vs. Trask?

With 85 fewer attempts, Jones is a little less than 400 total yards passing behind Trask. Given equal attempts he would need to average approximately 4.5 yards per attempt to equal passing yards and as pointed out earlier he leads Trask in all other passing categories except TD passes. The Heisman will be determined this Saturday.

Thank you Shime.

It's political,,, and so the votes will go wherever they go.

In 2006, tOSU QB Troy Smith was given the Heisman.
UF 41 - 14 tOSU -- NC Leak was the #3 finalist for the Heisman.
Troy would have been the 3rd string QB behind both Leak and Tebow if he was at UF. 🤓

In Danny Wonderful's best Heisman winning season (rsSr), he threw 39 TD's in 13 games.
Two of his games were against 5-6 Louisana and 2A GaSo.
Trask has thrown 40 TD's in 10 ALL SEC games, after losing 4 WR's to the NFL the previous year.
And unlike TL and MJ, he's playing behind a 3-4 star OL, while they are both behind a 4-5 star OL with all day to find an open receiver.

But as I said, it's political and the award will go with the 'political' votes.
2020 has been a voter 'fraud' year, so I won't hold my breath on this vote either.... 😏

It’s an individual award. Tebow won it with his worst team.

That was a rare thing for a QB. Usually a QB needs a real good W-L record prior to the voting to be given the Heisman I think. Tebow got screwed the next year though.

That would be a good trivia question - how many QBs out of all the QB winners have won the Heisman with more than 2 losses at the time of voting.

What happens if Trask was to pull off a great performance and carry this team to an upset win of like 41-38?

Edit:* Since after the 1970 season it appears there have been 3 QBs to win the Heisman with 3 regular season losses: Tebow, Robert Griffin and Lamar Jackson.

There was a 35 year period from 1971 to 2006 where a QB never won the Heisman with more than 2 losses in the regular season.
