Average Age Of COVID19 Patients In My ICU Today

Yes I had thought of that since 97% of people who get Covid dont end up in the hospital anyway. But the censorship of MDs who promoted HCQ absolutely infuriates me. Amazingly there seems to be a study to support any kind of idea and not surprisingly some contradict each other.

I double masked long before Lord Fraudo mentioned it because of a Forbes article I read I believe around April of 2020 very early into this whole mess.

Now really it was only one mask because I had a thick paper style mask with the metal nose piece. I got a batch from Lowes long before Covid. I used a cloth mask to help seal the "real" mask into place and it was more aesthetic.

I sanitized the paper masks in an oven at 170 for 30 mins each day until it would fall apart as I did not know when the mask shortage would end.

I have always used hand sanitize especially after filling up with gas. I have always tried to avoid touching my hands to my face when in public and use the inside of my shirt to scratch my nose or rub my eyes. Yes I am a germaphobe and was before Covid LOL.

Now I might be a bit odd because I dont like masks but wore one and am vaxxed but I oppose vax mandates and shutdowns. I really hope the TN legislature bans mandates/passports for both public and private sector except in health related fields and doesn't allow another shutdown to occur.
I am very much against mask mandates and vaccine mandates and I would only support shut downs that are done locally by local officials and are in response to extreme emergencies and limited to just a few weeks.

Man you doing all the right stuff even if it is a bit germ a phobic, LOL, love it

I will not eat food dropped from my plate onto a table at a restaurant. I insist on having a straw. When I camp I bring a 5 gal bucket and an extra tent to avoid the public facilities. If I use a public facility I sanitize the seat before using . As my wife's grandfather used to say you need to wash the "friendship" off your hands first thing when you get home. And yet I still get the occasional cold.

Where are you coming from on a philosophical level?

When you reach an age where you understand that you are mortal, fear can creep in.
But when you later come to understand and fully accept that you are mortal, then the fear can recede.

"Cowards die many times before their deaths, but the valiant never taste of death but once." WS

I've rolled those 'life & death' dice many times in my long life, and I will continue to do so as long as I'm here.
I've learned to live life each day and enjoy it. At this point, I'm actually beginning to look forward to finding out what the 'Infinite Universe' has in store for me next....

Corrupt governments that want me to give up my personal freedoms can KmA.
Doctors that want me to turn my personal health decisions over to them, can also KmA.

When my 'Angles' caution me, I always listen closely, and that has worked well for me so far....
And as always, each to his/her own concerning how to live the life that we've been given....

PS
This is why slavery is a personal choice that each person makes for themselves.
For me; 'I'd rather die on my feet, than live on my knees...'

I got vaxed and got covid anyway but I'm gonna live and didn't need hospital, My sister-in-law was unvaxed got covid went to the hospital ans she expired yesterday. There seems to be a benefit from getting vaxed.

The Cleveland Clinic and Emory University studies appear to show that your natural antibodies from recovering from covid tend to be more robust and perhaps even more effective at fighting against the virus.

No one is sure how long the antibodies will last. However, there's some belief, and I'll attach the Emory Study, that even after the antibodies are no longer detectable that your immune system retains "cell memory."

I may have butchered all of that terminology wise but check out the studies.

Very sorry about your sister-in-law brother.

Despite The Cleveland Clinic's study, they felt the need to post this. I'm assuming that they took a lot of grief..."for following the science" and this was their penance.

you don’t want the vaccine and you die then your gene pool just got drained. Good luck.

I really don't understand, or appreciate, the hostility towards people who simply disagree with you.

FWIW, I don't get why they care that you chose the vaccine either. It was your choice and you're happy with it. That works for me.

However, the callousness of some of these comments are just disappointing imo.

If somehow the vaccine kills you, and I truly hope and pray that you never suffer from the vaccine (and doubt that you will), i would never be of the mind that your death or your troubles were in anyway justified or ok. It would be tragic. Just like his death, and "loss of gene pool," would be.

I was in North Carolina at the time this broke out and similar story, hospital there wasn’t even testing for covid. Any cold or flu symptoms were called covid and “treated.” There was zero accuracy in reporting covid numbers and lying about how many rooms were being taken up.

There are 3 good sized hospitals in my area. On Friday I had to transport a violent offender to the ER (that story is a whole other shotshow).

The ER I was in was at about half capacity. The staffing appeared to be normal. The two large intubation rooms, that I assume were set up for covid patients, were empty. The RN I spoke to said it was pretty much business as usual for them.

It's possible that things were more hectic in other parts of the hospital because of the uptick in infections...but it would make sense that they would make use of the ER resources if they were overwhelmed "upstairs."

It's also possible that the other two hospitals (all within 10 miles) were overwhelmed with covid patients but again, that seems unlikely that they would hammer the other two hospitals while the one I was in was pretty relaxed.

At people who won't get vaccinated. I don't blame him.

You get pissy with people who question your decision to vaccinate.

...and then you bust balls when others make a choice that you disagree with.

There's a word for that. Hippo....hippo something. Can you help me out here?

Well to be fair they’ve been fairly hostile towards her. There’s been a lot of hostility in here. I appreciate your ability to keep it civil.

Agree, and that's what I was referring to when I said...

Maybe I'm paying it too much attention, more than it deserves, but I'm getting pretty damn fed up with people who intimate that people who choose not to vaccinate should die or that it is somehow more ok if they do die as compared to the vaccinated.

Again, if she comes to some kind of harm due to the vaccine that would be horrible. People tried to warn her against the vaccine just like she has tried to warn others to get it.

It's just messed up. It's unbecoming. /rant

I completely agree with you on that. We had this discussion with somebody else yesterday. You’ve made your choices and if something bad happens to you and you went up in the hospital it’s my job to bust my ass to try and save your life and we do it every day. Just like we try and help smokers out. That’s why we’re here.

I don't have time to be pissy right now. My nephew is in Mayo with COVID. He's 33 and has a 3 year old daughter. His parents, my brother and his wife got vaccinated. He wouldn't. His lungs are giving out.
I'm devastated for his wife and his Mom and Dad. 😢

God I’m so sorry. That’s tragic. Thoughts and prayers. I know what you’re facing and all I can say is thoughts and prayers.

I'm pretty sure that I will get vaccinated once I no longer show antibodies.

Plus, as an apex predator, I should be good either way. 😉

I'm very sorry goldy. My wife and I just prayed for your nephew. We will continue to do so.

Exactly. Not to mention you completely understand what I’m saying because you guys are required to engage the criminal if fired upon shoot him if you have to and then rush him to the hospital to try and save his life. You get what I’m saying more than anybody.

Quite the dichotomy, no?

I've done it. Afterwards it seems unnatural. In the moment it feels entirely...human I guess.

This is a byproduct of 18 months of unnecessary fear mongering.

If we were all given accurate information, and all agendas and cheerleading were stripped away, 99% of Americans would say the same thing about vaccine vs no vaccine:

"I thought about it for a long time. I did all the research I could, I talked to my doctor. In the end I hope I made the right choice."

Of course, that's not at all what we are seeing.

It is a measure of the greatness of a society how it treats its poor, sick, infirmed, and criminals. We live in a great society I hope we can hang onto it.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Also, the reverse of the above is true as well. What you didn't do for them, you denied that to Him.

We are no doubt the most giving society mankind has ever known. However, clearly, we can do better. We must.
