I am an absolute believer in 2nd amendment rights. I differ from the board in terms of background checks (and appeals), red flag laws, concealed carry, etc....but if the law is not going to get enforced and I cannot move, I will reserve the right to hold an AR-15 in my home, if I need to, in order to protect my family.
Specifically to this, I am not sure but the crime rate is high and many "gun/red" states as compared to "gun restrictions/blue" states. Of course the blue cities have a higher total because they have more people. That's why I am not completely sold on needing "more guns". My conclusion is stats based.

I think we know the answer to that one. "Because that's racist". The courts are turning the rats back into the streets as fast as they are swept up. Cockroach catch and release. And that's why Citizen Z needs a firearm to protect themselves when the system isn't allowed to do it's job.

I live near Indianapolis and travel (usually drive) to Chicago for business often. 3 months ago I was approached by one of the wonderful inhabitants of Chicago while sitting at a stop light. I carry (even though Illinois is not reciprocal with Indiana) and if I did not have my weapon I am not sure I would be typing this right now. No shots fired, but he tapped on my window with a hand gun and told me to get out I reached in my console and showed him I was armed. He went away, probably looking to prey on someone else. And unfortunately due to a liberal mayor and DA Indianapolis is going the same direction as Chicago.
