After watching him the first two games of the season (and in an extremely limited window last year), I think Anzalone is already UF's best defensive player. He's got more range and better instincts than Davis (no knock on Davis, who is an excellent college LB), and he plays a position where he's impacting the game in the blitz game, run game, open field tackling, and in coverage.
My biggest concern is the same as everybody else's--can he physically withstand the rigors of the SEC season and the likes of the linemen and running backs he'll be dealing with all year.
Looking ahead two weeks, a healthy Anzalone will be the key to beating UT. He can run with Dobbs and take him down. That was our sole mismatch last year.
