I never took the SAT, but without even a valid GED, I 'Academic Challenged' my way into college, graduating with a 3.67 GPA on 127 semester hours. Got A's in multiple semesters of classes like biology, organic chemistry w/lab and physics w/lab. I took classes like geography and philosophy as my electives, with a semester of golf for my athletic credit.
My bride was in the NHS and Graduated HS at #2 in her class.
Both of our 'Gifted' children scored in the 99 percentile,,, if that helps...
