over time I have captured some stats to back up my desire to correct the multitude of FSU fans delusions and misrepresentations of fact. I thought I would post some of them here. These are legit stats -feel free to use them if the situation or mood warrants it. Before that though, I want to wish all Gators a safe and Happy New Year. I am looking forward to saying good-bye to 2017 and hello 2018.

I'm sure this is all accurate, even though didn't read it...I will say this... the last 5-6 years FSU has beat the hell out of us in Football... It's not even been close. Times are changing though... I'm hoping for a good football game this coming year. #gogators

That's alot of data, thanks for putting it together. Most FSU fans will cite recent history and I can't argue against that. Once Mullen gets us back I can once again say we have a better past, present and future. That last part won't have any factual evidence though.

I nvr understand "overall records". Fsu was terrible the first 20 yrs. To me they are meaningless. I honestly wouldnt even cite our 13 title as something to brag about. I care more about the last 2 or 3 yrs.

It's pointless to cite long-term stats when UF and Miami had been playing football for decades while FSU was still an all-girls college. Since FSU became a major program in the 1980s, it has a pretty even record against both UF and Miami.

Your general trolling persona aside (don’t get me wrong, you know I like the niche you’ve found) I think most fans have that same mentality. Who cares about 10 years ago? 20, 30, 40 (100 if your Alabama and Notre Dame etc) if you aren’t winning now.

I’ve always enjoyed the historical aspects of things, so it “matters” to me but at the same time it adds perspective and intrigue to the conversation.

Any conversation, really. If I can apply historical aspect to it, it makes it more interesting to me.

But here is the essence of your logic....we (FSU) won the fourth quarter but lost the first 3 quarters when we were lousy. Since you won the most recent quarter, that’s all that matters. Did I get that right? Forget the final score? No. It’s a four quarter game.

Do you see how silly that concept is? Do you see why you (FSU fans) are seen as insecure and delusional? You just can’t wipe away history.
By all measures, your athletic programs rank third out of Florida’s Big 3. There is no escaping it.

As far as being terrible for 20 years, all teams have terrible years and lose. The ones that are on top just have fewer terrible years.

Like you, I want all of Florida’s teams to be competitive. I think that time is now upon us. Here’s to some memorable competitions in both our futures.

I think you read the stats too fast. The numbers are exclusively concerning men vs men games. You trail UF 34-26-2 and Miami 32-20. When you feel you became a major program has no bearing on it. You fielded teams and lost more than you won. If you look at it game by game, you will see that each team’s success comes in bunches - we’ve just had more bunches. For your sake, I hope that your coaching change is more successful than our previous two. There is a good chance we are now back to where you, Miami and us are comparable in talent and coaching. That’s when it will get fun. I’m looking forward to that. We’ll se you in November.

Don't act like UF being bad over the last few years is the same as FSU being bad when it was a brand new program. It's different when your "lost decade" happens after your program is already well-established. Taking pride in dominating FSU in the 1950s and 1960s is like a grown man taking pride in beating up a child before he was fully-grown.

Hell i wasnt even born for the majority of the games you are talking about. Apprently you dont know me at all. I dont hate UF or UM. I think all that sh## is stupid. I hate Gtaors 1 day a yr. Other than that, i hope you guys win. Football is fun to watch but for me to have the energy to hate someone because they root for a different cfb team is just not worth my time.
