Alright gators….ou/texas

UF is one of only 4 schools that have won a NC in the Men's Big 3, Football, Basketball, & Baseball.
UF is the ONLY school that has ever held the Football and Basketball NC's in the same season or year.
UF is also the ONLY school to have a player drafted to the NFL in every draft of the modern era.

The Chokers, playing in their defunct conferences, win a lot of games in football against mostly chumps.
And even in football, they ain't done chit since 2000, except contribute in the downfall of yet another conference....
Once the BCS began, they have mostly fallen off the losers cliff.
And sine the CFP, they have been an embarrassing 'also ran' voted in, and then spanked out on the field.
They are drowning and now begging the SEC to save them,,, so keep on laughing....

Tell me about The gaytors debate team, since we have already established OU has the better football program.

As salty as A&M is perhaps they'll go back to the Big 12 or recreate the old SWC. lol
Hahaha

I’m not going to dare come onto a Florida board and get into a pissing match about OU. I am too respectful of other people’s space.

But I’ll sure as shit pile on Aggie! No program has ever won less and thought more of themselves.

Tennessee? Seriously? They haven't been a factor in over 20 years, since the Great Orange Pumpkin. Jr and Lulu might be dead now.;)
Notre Dame, USC, and Michigan haven't been much in the past half century. Nebraska fell off the cliff when Osborne retired. That was a long time ago. I have a real problem with Notre Lame, as their glory days came as a result of a cotton candy soft regular season schedule.

I'll be honest, watching SWC and Big 8 football in the 80s was a ton of fun. 40 years later, looks like the SEC has essentially swallowed the old SWC, and the Big 8 has gone to the Big 10.

Tennessee is ranked thirteenth all-time won-lost records by percentage and ninth by victories.

The all-time record is 830–375–53 .682. At Neyland Stadium, the Vols have a record of 464–127–17 (.777).

They have won 13 conference championships and six national titles in their history and their last national championship was in the 1998 college football season.

Neyland Stadium-Tennessee has an all-time winning record of 464 games, the highest home-field total in college football history for any school in the nation at its current home venue. Additionally, its 102,455 seat capacity makes Neyland the nation's fifth largest stadium.

Ohio State - 2 - 2002-14 (vs Lac 10 & ACC)
Alabama - 6 - 2009-11-12-15-17-20

Tennessee - 0 (last in 1998, 1st year of the BCS playoff)
-----
Florida - 2 - 2006-08

Bama is the only one on that list with more NC's this century than UF.
And 5 of them have ZERO NC's this century, i.e. blue-bleeding to death.....
~ Princeton has 12 NC's, but I'm pretty sure that nobody G's-a-S about that ancient history either....

Hey ding-bat, you're the mouth that said ANY LIST, and then when multiple lists got shoved up your butt, you quickly ducked your head and went back to your ancient history in media-moron voted phootball NC history.
🤗

All Sports - SEC and National - UF has won NC's in 14 different sports.
Academics - AAU and more SEC Scholar athletes than Vanderbilt.
The ONLY school in the nation that is a perennial Top 10 in both Academics and Football.

Olympics - No mercy now for the Big-whatever mouth runners.
CURRENT GATOR OLYMPIC MEDAL COUNT
Gold:
1 - Men's Swimmer
Silver: 3 - Woman's Softball
Bronze: 2 - Woman's Swimmers
Total: 6 so far....
There are 32 former Gator athletes, (17 Americans) representing 14 countries, invited to Tokyo.
UF has a very diverse student body.
B-Ball Bradley Beal had to withdraw due to CoV, so they lost....
Also 2 Gator coaches (track & swimming) are Olympic Team coaches.
-----
Other List Items:

Excellent year-round weather
Hot Women, also with great Women's Championship sports.
Nearby beaches on both coasts.

Tubing at Ichetucknee Springs.

sg.ufl.edu/Services/Lake-Wauburg
This UF's lakeside recreation facility is located eight miles south of campus on Highway 441. Come rent canoes, kayaks, climb the 55-foot tall climbing wall, play a round of disc golf, go waterskiing or just relax on the shore. Students can also become boating certified and then take out one of the power boats.

But hey, back in ancient history, the Chokers at least won a bunch of games and were voted some NC's,,, while NOT playing an SEC schedule.

Just a FYI...

75% of the current 14 SEC teams must vote in favor of an invitation to join. So, 14 x .75 = 10.5

Depending if they round it up or down, OK/TX will need 10 or 11 SEC teams to agree on them receiving an invitation to join.

And even if they are eventually invited, they are under a Big12 media contract until July 2025.

Don't forget All Americans, bowl appearances, and HOF members at Tennessee.

It will require 11 teams and word is they will clear that easily. Perhaps with all 14 now but I'm guessing 13.

And it's possible that the B12 will dissolve making teams available sooner than 2025.

My lord oh mighty! This is about as silly as me talking about my siege on the Jacksonville Beach hotties 30 years ago (in your case, much longer ago). I ruled with a firm but kind hand as well.......my bro.......the past is ancient history and no longer relevant. Hey, I get it, glory days? They passed us by and no longer mean anything. 🤣

Correct. OU and Texas didn’t do this without due diligence. This has been a done deal for a while. But, I guess some just have a difficult time with that.

Good grief. This doesn’t even deserve a response. Congrats on those water skiing championships. I guess. Now, show me a list ANY list that shows the gators as a better FOOTBALL program now or historically. You know, the sport that matters. You can have the synchronized swimming titles.

We were discussing football “programs” but you already know that. I guess watersports were the only place you could turn

Sadly CFB is going down the tubes with wokeness, and pressure from commercialism. Not that I think the NCAA is worth the paper they are printed on, but we are evolving into a black hole. It was a good run, but CFB is done the way we once knew it as.

I don't really mind OU but I'm still not real happy about UTx. It's not a great fit imo.
I'm still puzzled. Was it 3 generations ago when my bunch lived happily in Morgan County, Alabama? They were forced to Haskell County, Oklahoma on the "Trail Where They Cried" better known as the Trail of Tears, after President Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830. I've offered wondered had they not, would I be a big Tide fan.

Of course, my father couldn't have been in Haskell County for my white mother to find after she migrated from Sievier County, Arkansas.

I believe OU and Nebraska would be a better fit to the SEC.

If we pack OU and TX into the SEC, what becomes of the limited playoff system we have now? The balance of power already rests in the SEC......adding more teams to self induced attrition of killing each other off by the season's end. There's always the pressure from the committee and press to include lackies from other conferences whose strength of schedule is woefully lacking. When is enough, enough in consolidation?

I don’t think it will change too awfully much. If they were talking about adding alot more games maybe.

I can see them eventually having 4 super conferences (Pac 16, Big 16, SEC and ACC) have have the champs in a 4-team playoff.

Again...........my question.........what are the merits of having the formerP(lac) 10 and Big 10 getting into a playoff who basically has played a Charmin soft schedule, when others are more deserving?

It's more participation trophies for the weak and undeserving.

Historically, they are still a blue blood. But they haven't done shit in a generation.
Who was Tennessee's coach who started with an F? Fulmer? I believe you'll find after his first 5 years on the job, his winning percentage outshined that of Knute Rockne. Then the slow decline began. The NCAA requires 5 years on the job for coaching records to count.

Easy answer.......Spurrier arrived in 1990. That was the beginning of the end for the Great Orange Pumpkin. :p

You mean Spurrier the quitter? You know the guy who didn't resign or retire but just flat out QUIT on his team mid year cause he got tired of losing. What courage. Probably the second worst way to say bye bye by a hof coach only surpassed by Woody. At least Steve Superior didn't slug an opposing player on the sideline.

Spurrier the quitter? Six SEC Championships, played for two national titles winning one. WTF are you talking about? The Deadskins? 🤣 Who cares? Spurrier owned the pumpkin. 7 wins, 2 losses.🤣

UF has won 2 Football NC's in the last 15 years while playing in the SEC.
Tex-azz has won ZERO Football NC's in the last 15 years.
Choke-la-homo has won ZERO Football NC's in the last 20 years.
Your bloated and inflated W/L record playing around in your dead chump conference doesn't impress SEC fans.
(but they still have their ancient has-beens history to fall back on I guess)

The University of Florida has won 39 National Team Championships in 14 different sports.
(not a one-pony show like the old daze phootball factories)

Individual Gator athletes have won 275 Individual NCAA Championships.

The University of Florida (unlike Choke-la-homo) is widely recognized as having a highly competitive and accomplished athletic program. The Gators' 20 National Championships since 2006 are the most among any school in the powerhouse SEC.

Ya-know, for being old time 'Phootball Factories' playing in a disintegrating chump conference, they don't really look all that good to me, but then I'm used to sports in the best conference in the Nation.... While some of their VI fans aren't even embarrassed about their losers status in an also ran conference.

BTW, just playing sports isn't the 'be all end all' at UF. University of Florida student-athletes, coaches and administrators have become a fixture in the Gainesville community and beyond, donating their time and effort to a number of community-related endeavors. The "Goodwill Gators" program was recognized by the National Consortium of Academics and Sports and have received the Outreach and Service Award.

So, how about the chokers public service?

But hey, the chokers used to be pretty good at football, in what's left of their conf. anyway.... They spend the great majority of their athletic money on phootball, and they still don't win big when it counts anymore....

PS
I noticed that you brushed right over UF being one of only 4 schools with a NC in the Men's Big 3 - Football - Basketball - Baseball. (Just in case you're to stupid to know, none of those Men's Big 3 are played in the water.

Having fun still/yet???

Didn't Spurrier just decide to quit and go play golf like 3 games into his final South Carolina season? I think that's what he was talking about.
