Norman, oooh-oooh-oooh, Norman where the chokers reside....![]()
3 Nattys? Congrats I guess
Let me know where both programs reside on this list. Hell, any list.
And then theres last years cotton bowl. The most recent history there is.
Chokers 55 gaytors 20
Yeah, and Princeton and Army both have more NC's than the chokers.
I'm sure that everyone wants to use ancient history to prop up their value in today's market....
The Neutered Lame's last NC was a voted gimmie in 1988.
The Chokers last NC was a BCS-NC (not vs an SEC team) in 2000.
And as to the 'throw-way' scamdemic year, where UF had the option to not even play in a bowl, (minus 25 players), is a big deal for the chockers.
However, when it was for all of the NC marbles, the chokers had the Heisman pretender QB, while UF was playing with a 'glorified' FB at QB (according to arrogant the choker's fans) had a much different outcome:
UF 24 - 14 Chokers, (for yet another double digit loss).
The Chokers had an NCAA record 54 Pts/Gm coming in against their usual cupcake schedule, but the #3 defense in the SEC held them to 40 Pts under their average Pts/Gm BS....
PS
And notice that it's the Chokers that are begging to get in the SEC, not UF wanting to get into the fast dying Big12-10-whatever.....![]()

--- That's plumb pitiful...![]()
IF that's all you got, a scamdemic season with UF missing 25 players, I'm fine with that. Your best game in decades....
Blue blood status check…
OU - check
Gaytor- nope
I totally agree with that....![]()
Chokers = BLUE blooded has-beens in Norman, oooh, oooh, oooh....
Gators = RED blooded Americans in the Republic of Florida
This is why it’s a good thing. Gonna be fun
--- Sorry, but the Gators already have long standing quality rivals.![]()
The chockers will just fill in for usual couple of cupcakes on the schedule.
The worst in the SEC is usually VU with an SEC schedule.
2017 5-7, 2018 6-7, 2019 3-9 = Combined 15-23
Their last bowl was a 41 - 24 Houston win in the 2013 Comapss Bowl
The worst in the Big-whatever is KU with a Big-whatever schedule
2017 1-11, 2018 3-9, 2019 3-9 = Combined 7-29
Their last bowl was a 42 - 21 Minn win in the 2008 Insight Bowl
I'm not judging any team in either conference on the scamdemic season.
The best in the SEC have won 12 of the last 18 NC's by 4 different teams.
The best in the Big-whatever 2000 OK NC, 2005 TX NC.
If that BS was actually true (nope), then why does Ok & TX come begging hat in hand, to join the SEC, where UF is a (1932 Charter Member). No need to apologize, but I understand why you want to. Respect for the big dog. The better program now, and historically is OU. It is what it is. Sorry, not sorry.
If that BS was actually true (nope), then why does Ok & TX come begging hat in hand, to join the SEC, where UF is a (1932 Charter Member).
With TX & OK not being able to attract 2 teams to meet the 12 team minimum to have a Conf. Championship game, they had to buy off the NCAA to let then dodge (cheat) the rules.
Who has bailed out on you so far: Ark-Neb-aTm-Mizz
TX and OU both ran their mouths when aTm and Mizzou bailed out to the SEC on them, but now they are begging to follow them. Showing no pride at all imo. (The SEC shares the $$ equally with all teams)
The arrogance and greed of both TX and OU have slowly destroyed conference after conference, so IF I had a vote, which I don't, I'd never allow either a chance to come in and 'screw the pooch' again in the SEC.
It’s done. Going to sit back and do what blue bloods do. Let you try to scramble for an obscure stat to validate your team being on the level you think it is.
Meanwhile, the big dog will bark when it needs to
Then you don’t have any clue how bleak the future looks for the B12.IMO, this is greed based and that breeds contempt. A bridge too far.
You have no clue what led to Aggie, Neb and Mizzou leaving. It wasn’t OU’s fault. We were a wallflower in that process. If that BS was actually true (nope), then why does Ok & TX come begging hat in hand, to join the SEC, where UF is a (1932 Charter Member).

I don't care about OU or Tejas. My point is that college football has left the building and it ain't ever coming back. Then you don’t have any clue how bleak the future looks for the B12.
Go look at OU’s home schedule and tell me how you’d sell season tickets. The entire B12 season was a smaller TV contract just just the SEC game of the week.
It’s not OU’s job to keep a sinking conference alive so no one gets their feelers hurt.
It's economics sir. It's called progress.I don't care about OU or Tejas. My point is that college football has left the building and it ain't ever coming back.
It's called professional football not progress. I quit watching the nfl years ago when players quit honoring contracts they agreed to. Are you so blinded by progressive movements that you can't see the truth? It's economics sir. It's called progress.
NIL is a much bigger threat than conference realignment. That's what could turn college football into a semi-pro sport.
Worst thing that comes out of this is 2-3 super conferences are formed and the NCAA is eliminated. I, for one, don't see much benefit from the NCAA in the last few decades. They take, don't know what they give.

WTF? 45% of the National Championships have come through that proposed division the past 20 years. (Do the math, 9/20)Boot UGA out and substitute LSU, it's more than half.
It's this kind of shit that pisses me off when the know-nothings want a National Championship consisting of only conference champions. It's the same mentality of giving out participation trophies.![]()

The statements mark the first step to the Longhorns and Sooners' journey to the SECwww.cbssports.com

They won’t be in the B12 for 3 years.A lot can happen in 3 years.
OSU and Tech are already looking for a way to the Pac12.It won’t be 3 years. Once the b12 loses one more team the big12 is gone. OU and Texas won’t have to wait.
As salty as A&M is perhaps they'll go back to the Big 12 or recreate the old SWC. lolOSU and Tech are already looking for a way to the Pac12.
The B12, and any leverage they have to renegotiate a new TV deal (which they couldn’t do with OU and Texas in the conference) or to attract new members is totally gone. It’s a dead conference.

A partial list of the 25 Gator players that were missing from the 2020 bowl game:
Dan said that UF would still play in the bowl anyway, and that it would serve as an opportunity for younger players to take on meaningful snaps, in preparation for the 2021 season.

20 - 55 with nothing but a 'scrimmage bowl' on the line doesn't bother me, because when it did matter for a NC, it was UF 24-14 Chokers

I stopped watching the Nefarious Felony League years ago.
I will likely stop watching the NFL minor league (NIL xfer college) soon.
There's always HS football to watch,,, at least for now.....
How about the Learfield IMG Director's Cup List? (Natl. All Sports Trophy)
UF is the ONLY school in the NCAA that has been ranked in the Top 10 for the last 37 consecutive years, with the last 12 consecutive years being in the Top 5 in the NCAA.
Have you Chokers ever even been in the Top 10???
There are old time 'Football Factories, and then there are schools that can compete in All Sports and have always had STUDENT/athletes.
I looked on the List of AAU's and I found UF, but I didn't find any Chokers.
AAU member universities—64 in the United States and two in Canada—are on the leading edge of innovation, scholarship, and solutions that contribute to scientific progress, economic development, security, and well-being. >>> Note, you can't buy your way in, you have to be nominated and voted in by the other current members.
We could also compare Olympic Athlete lists, but I'll let you mercy-slide on that one....
Damn........I'd forgotten half the damn team sat that one out.......in particular, most of UF's receivers and Trask only playing a half. Anymore, bowl games are toilet bowls unless they are playoff related. Like the players themselves, I'd just as soon just sit that out as well. They've become meaningless since the stars jumping to the NFL rarely participate anymore. Not that is an excuse for losing, but there's no reason to even play it other than fill the coffers of the universities involved. Lesser tiered bowls, not sure they even break even by playing them.A partial list of the 25 Gator players that were missing from the 2020 bowl game:
