Alright gators….ou/texas

Not a Gator but also not a huge fan of UTx joining the SEC.

I understand the cash appeal...but I'd almost prefer OU and Okie St and avoid the primadonna's from Austin.

Or better yet, leave it alone all together.
Super conferences is where CFB is going, it truly is inevitable at this point

I'm a die hard Gator fan, but I cringe at the thought of what would go on at an Austin/Gainesville university faculty mixer. You couldn't wash the commie pinko stink off with a fire hose.

Thoughts? Me, I would love it. We are retired and would love traveling to The swamp to meet some of yall. Even the cucks.
Super Conferences are the way of the future and I'm honestly surprised it's taken this long for the SEC to make a serious move to 16 teams.

To be fair, there's more changes that need to happen:

Kick Missouri to the Big 10
Kick South Carolina back to the ACC
Take Ga Tech from the ACC
Take FSU from the ACC

Do all that and add OU and Texas and let's roll. I think the Big 12 is about to go away, I figure OU and Texas goes to the SEC, the Pac 12 and Big 10 swallows up the other decent programs.

First time I was in Austin for business about 15 years ago, my client was driving me downtown when I noticed an old man wearing tie-dye bandana and shirt and Daisy Dukes, Client must have noted the horrified look on my face.

"Oh that's Lesilie! He's a bit of a legend around here!"

Turns out Leslie was a gay transvestite and former candidate for Mayor.

Welcome to Austin.

Gainesville has actually had a queer mayor, quite possibly two.........but in our defense, we never had a male homecoming queen. FSU has had two.

If I’m not mistaken, @SGUN was walking the streets of Austin right about that time.

The Big12 is already dead, just with this news.

Think about trying to negotiate a TV deal after the two biggest teams have made clear overtures to another conference.

I think the best thing for the B12 is for OU and Texas to leave and let them add two solid Group of 5 schools and try to hang on for dear life. It can't be any worse than the Pac12.

Zero SEC AD's have even considered this.
aTm would veto it because TX said that they were traitors for leaving for the SEC and that they would never play then in any sport again.

They might need / want the SEC, but the SEC has no need or want for them.
But hey, the Big12-10-whatever should take in the Neutered Lame and BSU so that they could again at least meet the NCAA 12 Teams for a Conf. Champ game again. The NL have been in the CFP and BSU beat OU in a bowl, so I know that they are good enough to join what's left of the Big-whatever....
😜

Ok. We now know this is happening. The SEC schools ARE on board with it sans aggie.

So, are Jorts required in the swamp?

I've got a huge problem with super conferences but really for only one reason. The douchebags that insist every conference has "one and only one representative" guaranteed to advance to a playoff. Why? All conferences are not equal, I don't GAF what Abraham Lincoln said. I'd be okay with a season consisting of only 10 or so games and all of them conference, and letting the n'er do wells shit tiered conferences fight for some tin cup and not a natty. I'm not a big fan of expanded playoffs but 8 teams would make this right, and only coming from the power conferences.......based on power rankings, not conference finishes...as we all know they are not equal. Independents (like Notre Lame or BYU) could either join a major football conference or shut the fvck up). The season would end up being 10 or 11 regular season games and possibly another 3 or 4 depending on how deep teams go in a playoff.

Disagree the ADs haven’t considered it. The ADs have not only thought about it, but jumped on board. Why? $$$$$

I still have a problem with the douchebags that think P(lac)12 conference members can compete with the rest of the country and deserve a playoff spot if they win their conference. For the most part, pacific coast conference champions can't beat an Alabama high school squad.

IF the SEC really wants to expand by 2 teams, then it should be teams that fit the SEC profile.

Miami has won a NC more recently than Choke-la-homo.
FSU has won a NC way more recently than the short-horns.
I'd even take 2 of the Virginia teams instead because they would be a better fit.

It was bad enough letting aTm in the SEC, TX and OK -- DON'T FIT THE GEOGRAPHICS OF THE SEC.
And what happens to the Texas Radio/TV Network, honing in on the SEC Network???

Hey Stankey, JUST SAY NO....

Yeah there’s only room for one prima donna in this league and that’s Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

It’s already done. Sorry bout your luck. Now you have another blue blood to go along with bama. 🤪🤪😮😮

Texas and Oklahoma are in the all time top 10 winning percentage, as is Alabama. Miami and FSU are not. OU and Texas has won 3 more national titles than FSU and Miami.

OU has scored more points than any major college.

Yap yap yap 🥱

LHN is going away if they join the SEC per Texas

3* Dan AKA “the hunchback “ having to leave sunny Florida and play Riley Coyote in Norman during bitter wind and cold of November would be very fun to watch. 🤭😌

instant we need a recruiting thread on the blue board Like the good old days.

3* Dan ranked 38th In recruiting? 😳😳😎

After I graduated. Only aware of one, though.
But Tally did provide a FAMU grad to run for Governor. Only thing he ran TO was a hotel room in Miami Beach...

I was going to mention this too, but I thought forum chivalry made that a bridge too far, ;)
