Alec Baldwin is calling for every film and TV set that utilizes guns on set, fake or otherwise, to have the production hire a police officer to “specifically monitor weapons safety.”

Baldwin tweeted the statement from his Twitter account, which is now private, on Monday morning. It’s his latest update in the wake of the tragedy on the set of his film “Rust,” in which the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed.

From the same guy who said the police were a bunch of killers....

I am curious to see what the final report says on what they find. Besides the directors not following proper safety it almost sounds like someone planted that bullet in there or the armorer was just crazy negligent as I think she claimed there were no live rounds and the firearm was locked up prior to being used.

Sounds like this movie was cursed as a crew member now is fighting for his arm not to be amputated after having been bit by a brown recluse spider at the site. Crazy - I had a friend bit by one of those and he just got pretty sick for about a day but was fine after that. I guess the bites affect some people a lot more than others.

I got bit by one at a marina when I was cleaning out my boat. Itched and burned like crazy, took six months to completely heal. Left a small hole in my hand that took a couple of years to completely fill in. Didn't get sick, but I felt like crap for about 24 hours.

But you only need counselors, Sir.

Or social workers.
This is another liberal dream (mirage) that seems like a good idea until you actually investigate the concept. In reality, police have far superior training in crisis intervention than social workers. When an addict is ready for counseling he has made a choice to commit to a program, in the urban streets we have lawless addicts that would never commit to such a plan at a much higher % than those that actually seek help from drug/alcohol treatment counseling. Just another reason why dreamers are not in the reality of the moment, and police work is too pragmatic for dreamers to comprehend.

It's amazing that it was the first time, since the shooting, that he said that he didn't pull the trigger. Never came up until now. They are getting scared that he will be charged with something and are starting to put his defence out there.

The left just has a way of uncovering inanimate objects that do bad things on their own. First we had an apparently driverless SUV, on its own, decide to mow down innocent people of all ages at a Christmas parade and now we have a demonic gun that decides to shoot people on its own. Scary to think what the next object will be.

Let's hope and pray its not a nefarious nuke.

He not only admitted to pointing a firearm he admitted to releasing the hammer which is the same thing as pulling the trigger. Any person with a brain knows you release the hammer with the barrel pointed in a discharge bin or at the soft ground, never at someone in case, it was to discharge.

Typical leftist. You screw up and then demand action to needlessly protect others from a Screwup that was yours and yours alone ...

Glanced over a few of those search warrants and while a little vague they do make that armorer appear to be very negligent and/or incompetent. I wonder what they are thinking they might find on Baldwin's messages.

Hypocrites and live by double standards. Politicians are simply evil and use any method necessary to remain in power. Only a fool would believe.

Crazy stuff. I know that armorer should never work as an armorer again after reading earlier things. As far as Baldwin he will probably escape criminal liability but he certainly cant take the blame away from him also as he should have checked the gun prior to handling it even if that assistant announced it was good to go. Still would like to know how the normal rounds got in there besides that armorer not doing her job.

I read somewhere that crew members sometimes would use the guns for target practive using live ammo. So, the armorer should have caught it that live ammo was in the gun, but so should have Alec.

I think it was from the warrant requests I read some of what the cops were claiming and it really made the armorer seem like she was just assuming crap some of the time and not checking things like she was supposed to. So sloppy someone could have purposely snuck real rounds into the ones for the set or allowed them to get accidentally mingled with the set ones. Crazy stuff.

Here is the video that came out with the armorer after the shooting. She seems to know she screwed up and seems to mostly just be worried about her armorer work being over instead of the condition of the lady that got shot.

They have one of Baldwin I will post also.

My own feeling on this besides the bad behavior of Baldwin is if you were going to file some type of manslaughter type charge it might be the armorer you could make it stick on for clearly not doing even the basics of her job that day. They would probably need airtight testimony that no one else messed with the gun/ammo once she passed it on to that guy who gave it to Baldwin on set. I doubt they would think they could criminally nail Baldwin or that other guy with how juries might look at this. I also think them having a Baldwin decision will probably make them more reluctant to charge that armorer though. It sounds like such a cluster on that set that it is possible someone purposely loaded those live rounds and the idiot armorer had no clue. Crazy stuff

Well, to be honest, this was never a case the FBI should be investigating. Local authorities or a kid with True Crime magazine subscriptions could solve it in a matter of a few hours.
I wonder what happens with this. My guess is a winnable criminal case could be made against the armorer looking at some of the affidavits but I have a feeling no one will get charged criminally.

Wrong, he'll get reckless endangerment charges at the least. He should get negligent homicide. He won't do any time I would guess but he killed someone because he was playing with a firearm. This is too stupid for words, a man that immature and careless with a firearm. He will probably also be sued in civil court as the cause of death. You only have to prove he caused the death in civil court and that is already been provided. Unless of course, they say COVID 19 was the cause of death.

Could be wrong but I doubt they charge him criminally since they shouted the gun was clear of live rounds and that stuff. If they do I think it's over their judgment about the real chances to get a conviction as they know they will be trotting people in there saying that is how it is done in reality most times placing almost all the blame on the armorer and that assistant.
