Remember how they said Biden was "weak" and how a real strong leader was Putin or Orban...

Outin is in hiding from his own people and has a domestic private militia marching on the capitol led by one of his own oligarchs

And had to have an ally negotiate a peace settlement 🤣

This is the beginning of the end for Vladimir Putin regardless of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s decision to turn around last night. That may seem an odd thing to say. But Putin’s power rests on projection, on propaganda, on the image of invincibility. Now, all of a sudden, the curtain has been snatched back, revealing the Wizard of Oz as a small, mediocre, frightened man.

From the outside, dictatorships can look monolithic. One of the reasons that Western Kremlinologists failed to predict the end of the Soviet Union was that they knew little of the necessarily secret rivalries within it. None of them foresaw that the chief instrument in the dissolution of the USSR would be Boris Yeltsin’s Russian Federation.

Today, the same Russian Federation appears united. Putin’s approval ratings hover around 80 per cent, and his most vocal opponents are in exile or in prison. There are no meaningful opposition parties or critical newspapers. People rally to their leaders during war, and the effect of sanctions has been to strengthen Putin’s control over the economy.

Look closer, though, and that unity begins to look provisional. The siloviki, the strongmen around Putin, sense his vulnerability, and are making alliances in preparation for the transition. The generals and admirals who hold the other half of the nuclear codes could still be manoeuvring. Perhaps nine of Russia’s regions and republics could be ready to call independence referendums, having had enough of a Muscovite clique which seizes their natural resources, conscripts their young men, and offers them nothing in return.

The miser pays thrice. Western companies clinging to Russia are losing markets, business and reputation

Putin's army has been waging a war of terror against Ukrainians for sixteen months now. It no longer makes sense for global brands to hide the fact that they are still doing business in Russia. The list of Western companies that have chosen to work for a state sponsor of terrorism is public knowledge. Many of them have made it clear that they are not going to leave the Russian market.

A year ago, it might have seemed that doing business in Russia would go unpunished for global companies. Many companies that did leave did not rule out coming back to the Russian market.

However, the war rages on, and the number of victims grows daily. Civil society and some of Ukraine's allies have been doing everything in their power to discourage these companies from operating in Russia and to make them toxic to investors and government clients worldwide.

And it’s paying off. One of the world's largest food producers, Mondelez, faced a boycott of its products in Western countries after being included on the Ukrainian list of international sponsors of war.

The shift in attitudes towards Western firms operating in Russia is gradually becoming a trend. Meanwhile, ethical companies that left Russia in the first months of the invasion may be rewarded for their choice when Russian assets are seized and during Ukraine’s recovery.

And just like that....we learn that Putin agreed to peace.....a year ago.......Hiden nixed it.

Congrats libs, hundreds of thousands dead, hundreds of billions in cash all lost, cause of your politics.

But Hiden got rich(er) off the backs and graves of Ukrainians.

What a world.

You believe what RFK Jr says?

Talk about gullible sheep

Have you told him about your belief that his cousin is alive and waiting to be trump's VP yet? 🤣

RFK Jr. Lashes Out at Rolling Stone After Article Shows GOP Link to Presidential Run: ‘Establishment Propaganda’

Sat, June 24, 2023 at 7:36 PM EDT·2 min read

Following Rolling Stone’s publication of an article linking a super PAC backing Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Republican representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and George Santos, the anti-vaccine activist lashed out at the publication on Twitter, calling it a “channel for Establishment propaganda.”

“Expect Rolling Stone to lead the corporate media’s frantic crusade to vilify me to stop my White House bid,” Kennedy Jr. wrote. “Rolling Stone was once the premier standard-bearer of the counterculture. Now it’s a channel for Establishment propaganda. #TrollingStone #RollingSmear

The article, released Friday, pointed to filings viewed by Rolling Stone that tied the creators of the pro-Kennedy Jr. Super PAC “Heal the Divide” to pro-Donald Trump officials like Greene, Santos and Hershel Walker. Rolling Stone deemed it “abnormal” that Kennedy Jr. is running as a Democrat despite being backed by Republican-affiliated donors.

The article also cites unnamed Fox News employees who told Rolling Stone that higher-ups at the right-wing news network have considered featuring Kennedy Jr.’s candidacy more prominently in an attempt to make President Joe Biden look weak

Imagine learning that....and still supporting your politics.

I know you aren’t stupid enough to fall for this stuff. But some people who post here are. And we both know you are trying to mislead them.

Everyone wants peace—as long as their terms are met. Putin is no different. He is a peaceful humanitarian as long as Eastern Europe agrees to Russian suzerainty.

Russia and Ukraine both agreed to peace in 2022.

The guy you voted for and Boris are the ones that nixed it.

And you know why. You just can't admit to yourself that you picked the bad guys to support AND that the Trump supporters here were right all along.

Putin has a failing economy, is losing a war to a county 1/10th his size, and has his own mafia bosses trying to overthrow him in the wide open public....

Oh yeah, and he's in hiding 🤣

THAT is who US conservatives idolize for being a strong leader

Both are evil.

The same people who are telling us that Putin is apparently a bad person (go figure) are also pretending that Zelensky is a hero and the Savior of democratic values.

He isn't and anyone who opposes Zelensky is absolutely repressed...including political opponents so it makes sense that liberals love him.

Again, both are bad, full stop.

If you were choosing between Putin & Zelensky who would you choose?

If you were choosing between XI of China or Ing-Wen of Taiwan who would you choose?

If you were choosing between the Ayatollah of Iran or Netanyahu of Israel who would you choose?

None of those leaders listed are perfect angels but one choice is better than the other

bama is proud of being a dense numbskull

If you were choosing between Putin & Zelensky who would you choose?

Fair question...almost certainly I would choose Zelensky. Would I choose him to the tune of $40 billion and the depletion of crucial military stockpiles in this country? No, I would not.

If you were choosing between XI of China or Ing-Wen of Taiwan who would you choose?

Ing-Wen...and it's not even close.

If you were choosing between the Ayatollah of Iran or Netanyahu of Israel who would you choose?

Netanyahu...again, not close.

None of those leaders listed are perfect angels but one choice is better than the other

bama is proud of being a dense numbskull

This is you moving the goalposts. The standard wasn't whether or not Zelensky was a "perfect angel." Rather that he isn't the guy you libs make him out to be...the defender of democracy in eastern Europe.

$40 billion to put Russia's Putin into hiding in his own country and have NATO add Norway & Sweden, end his energy crip on Europe....without putting 1 US military life in harm's way?

That's a military strategic economic homerun.

The annual defense budget is $766 billion

This is you moving the goalposts. The standard wasn't whether or not Zelensky was a "perfect angel." Rather that he isn't the guy you libs make him out to be...the defender of democracy in eastern Europe.

He doesn't have to be that either...but he is immediately fighting the greatest threat to democracy in Europe

So supporting Putin makes absolutely NO SENSE if you care about democracy

And conservatives have been supporting THAT guy going back to Obama

I don't see anyone supporting Putin and certainly not conservatives by and large. I see many of us not seeing a HUGE distinction between Putin and Zelensky beyond Putin's geographical aggressiveness. And that makes sense since Putin had the much larger military and economy prior to the war.

Not supporting Zelensky does not equal supporting Putin. That is a false equivalency.

Also, I recall the entire world laughing at Trump when he warned everyone about Russian control over European energy. Now it's admirable to cut those ties???

You recall something that never happend....trump was mocked by Germany on the UN not the whole world

Calling Putin smart while also denouncing Russia's invasion of Ukraine is clearly the GOP stumping for Putin.

BTW, Putin clearly is VERY smart. His competency does appear to be on the decline however. Lots of evil people throughout history have been very smart.

You're making false equivalencies but we aren't going to see eye to eye on this so we can just agree to disagree.

You recall something that never happend....trump was mocked by Germany on the UN not the whole world

Trump was mocked by liberals universally...for saying what you said above about the virtues of detaching Europe from Russian energy dependence.

The deal was bilateral between Russia & Germany not all of Europe

The deal was....the comments were not. Yes, he warned Germany specifically but he also warned Europe in general.

At one point, prior to the most recent invasion of Ukraine, 40% of all European natural gas came from Russia.

Leftists love Socialism & Communism - not Conservatives!

Leftists are evil and an enemy of America.

Reggie your lib media is probably pushing that narrative but I do not know any "Conservative" who thought Putin was a great leader. He and joey are 2 peas in a pod- PUTIN IS A DICTATOR AND JOEY IS A WANNABE DICTATOR

Trump Says 'Lot of Love' Behind Putin Wanting to 'Make His Country Larger'
BY ANDREW STANTON ON 3/13/22 AT 2:40 PM EDT

ormer President Donald Trump said there is "a lot of love" behind Russian President Vladimir Putin's efforts to make "his country larger" on Sunday as Russian troops continued to invade Ukraine.

Trump discussed the conflict during an appearance on Fox News host Jeanine Pirro's radio show Sunday. He said he believes Putin's ultimate goal is to eventually rebuild the Soviet Union, and he went on to explain what he believes to be Putin's mindset.

"You say, what's the purpose of this? They had a country. You could see it was a country where there was a lot of love and we're doing it because, you know, somebody wants to make his country larger or he wants to put it back the way it was when actually it didn't work very well," Trump said.

Some critics, however, took issue with Trump's use of "a lot of love," pointing to the widespread destruction and thousands of casualties the invasion has caused in Ukraine.

"Does his love extend to the maternity hospitals and cancer hospitals he's bombing?" wrote Twitter user @dkxkee.

BTW, Putin clearly is VERY smart. His competency does appear to be on the decline however. Lots of evil people throughout history have been very smart.

I can show you plenty examples of why he's stupid

And what happened since the war started?

The European response was to shed Russian energy and integrate more

They not only accomplished that but have sanctioned Russia's oil industry to a point where Russia can't even wage a successful war against a country a tenth of its size

My Lord Ray, you are a pompous ass.

I didn't read much of that but Trump has condemned the Russian invasion...

...and has even referred to it as a holocaust.

Putin's IQ is estimated to be ~127 which puts him in the 86th percentile. He's evil and savvy...but I do believe he's in cognitive decline as we speak, as I said in another post.
