ABC reporter who was writing book critical of Hiden was raided by FBI in APRIL and HASN'T BEEN SEEN SINCE

Did you see that the Jan 6th prisoners wrote a letter requesting they be transferred to Gitmo Bay so their CONDITIONS WOULD IMPROVE?

I don't think anyone has even hinted at that. DeSantis needs to govern Florida another 4 years, mostly because we desperately need him here. Four more years of experience and he'll be even more of a national figure. Everyone loves the backup QB even when the starter is doing just fine. I'll be in heaven if we get Trump for another 4 years and then 8 years of DeSantis. It won't hurt my feelings whatsoever if DeSantis is governor for two more years and Trump bows out (for age or any other reason). But Trump's policies were rock solid, and I don't see them getting worse. We are dealing with the worst President right now to ever occupy the White House.
She wants the Soph backup QB because the proven starter is a 5th year Sr.

We seem to be seeing the rise of what I call 'Spoiled brat politics' on the right. People that want what they want TODAY with seemingly no thought given to what it means to tomorrow.

For instance, certain people wanting Durham to arrest ebbbbberybody on Day One of his investigation, which would lead to all of them going free. But they don't care cause they want arrests, dammit!

Certain people want DeSantis in 2024, without considering that move could very well kill his political career. But they want DeSantis so they are stomping their feet till it happens.

The Big Picture is what counts. Not what we want TODAY.

Trump was a NY Dem, reality TV celebrity.

I’ll take my chances.
Trump was walking off in the middle of CNN interviews 30 years ago cause they were being disingenuous.

What has Kari Lake done prior to 2022? I know she was a journalist at some point. That actually worries me a bit, tells me she knows how to work the camera.

What is her political background? What has she done that mirrors what she's saying on the campaign trial?

Again, I like what I am hearing, but I'm also done blindly supporting candidates based on what they say. Gotta work from now on for my support. I voted for Bushes 3 times, mccain and mittens. That's what happens when you blindly support the guy with the R next to his name.

Not doing it anymore. My vote and support will be earned from now on.

That’s not what I said or meant. Re-read my post.

I laid out a scenario where we had DeSantis in the WH for 8 years.

You get people like GW or Romney when you cave to liberal media lies and attacks.

Trump wasn’t an “awful human being” or a “threat to democracy” when he was on the Apprentice. What changed?
I never said he was either of those things.
You are seriously comparing a TV show to the Presidency?

Well I don’t think you live in AZ, but I get your point.

She was a news anchor for 22 years…and apparently a pretty good one. She interviewed both Obama and Trump from a local Phx TV station.

Not shockingly, being a media member, she’s been pretty consistently a lifelong democrat. Her bio reads like someone who woke up one day and couldn’t take the BS anymore. She took an extended leave and then just quit her job altogether to run for office. But by then she’d “been overheard in a hot mic promoting her Parler account” and “been spotted at CPAC” and other, similar horrible offenses.

She sounds like someone who toe’d the line for decades and finally had enough as the left shifted further into insanity. Got so bad she gave up her career to try to fix it.

I’d be SHOCKED if she turns out to be a liberal in MAGA clothing. She has been out of effs to give for some time.

Her platform is exposing media bias, fixing border security and improving election integrity. Sort of the three legged MAGA stool at the moment.

It's such bad advice, it honestly makes my head hurt. Wanting DeSantis to run in 2024 is almost as bad.

Let's assume the republican party 'just moves on' from Trump. First, we would be moving on from the most popular candidate the Republican party has ever produced. This is verified and factual.

But more importantly, we would be telling the media and left that if it manufactures a controversy about one of our candidates (Trump led an insurrection on Jan6!!!!) that we will stop supporting them.

So we just move on from Trump. And then DeSantis announces he is running for President in 6 months.

The FIRST thing that will happen is the media will point out that DeSantis is a liar for saying he would not run for President in 2024, then he wins the governorship again, then turns his back on Florida to run for President. And the media would be exactly right to call DeSantis out for lying if he did that.

But what will happen next is we will see DeSantis is the clear and heavy favorite to be President in 2024. THEN the media will start in. We will first 'learn' that DeSantis sexually abused X number of women throughout his life. If we don't drop support immediately, the media will up the lies. Next we will learn he is CURRENTLY having an affair with a woman WHILE HIS POOR WIFE DEALS WITH CANCER!

CNN will have panel after panel of 'conservatives' on saying it's time to 'just move on' from the embarrassment that is Ron DeSnantis.

That's why we don't 'just move on' from Trump. It's such bad advice it gives me a headache. But the libs love it.

The crazy part is many in the Republican party seem to never learn. I thought the 2016 election might have changed that, but dems just upped the ante and went all in. And pubs like Goldmom bought it……again.

If we are ever going to get anywhere, the electorate has to stop letting the media manipulate them.

I am not sold on Lake. I know I know I know, she is saying ALL the right things on the campaign trial.

Let's see what she does if she gets into office. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.
We will have to see but she is definitely playing the game well. Not sure AZ's rules but I wouldn't 100% put it past Trump to pick her if he makes a real late choice for VP.

You can’t be this dense. Seriously. Your last two replies to my posts represent reading comprehension on a 3rd or 4th grade level...or maybe I'm just awful at communicating my point.

So let me try again:
- The current media narrative of DJT is that he's a terrible, awful human who is a direct threat to democracy. He must be stopped at all costs, and by all costs they mean stealing elections or putting him in jail for things democrats publicly admit to.
- A few years ago, he was fairly well liked and well-regarded as a former host of an average reality TV show and a real estate mogul. He was actually active pop culture, I think he even hosted ultra-liberal SNL a few times.

Between those two periods of time, what changed? Why is he so hated now?

Now that you're hopefully on the same page, maybe you can start to understand how this relates to "just moving on" from a guy who is "too old". He is a type of politician they cannot tolerate in power - he's rich and powerful enough on his own he doesn't have to bend the knee. He can say whatever he wants to. He can make decisions that hurt the establishment and help the American people. He can even shrink gov't influence in favor of freedom and liberty. If you're a globalist (and by proxy in favor of a socialist economy) a wildly popular politician that runs on this agenda is a massive threat to the Great Reset.

We need to take whatever time we can get from a leader like this no matter his/her age or whether they embarrass us at times. If we get 4 years from Trump, hopefully we can get another 8 from someone like Lake or DeSantis. But uncancellable politicians that want to govern in favor of freedom and liberty do not grow on trees.

Its called the primary.

I voted for Alan Keyes twice 96 and 2000. Supported Thompson 08 and Cain 12 while voting for Santorum after Cain dropped out.

I met Herman when he came to TN.

In the General the choices were Bush McCain and Romney. I hated that guy named John but hated him less than I hated what zer0s policies would be. Syndey would have been a placeholder but I doubt we get ze0care or gay marriage on his watch. No BLM or antifa coddling. Sydney hated social conservatives and they sat home in 2008. I held my nose.

Mittens would have been much the same but I liked him at the time before TDS made him go insane.

I voted for Cruz in 16 for both the primary and then the General as a write-in.

I was jazzed for the Cruz vote. It was the most excited I had been voting for a primary candidate since Alan Keyes in 96

We voted for 3 establishment dems running as Rs.

Never doing it again. And not falling for the 'well if you don't vote for this bad R, an even worse D gets in'.

Good. Means fewer votes for the bad candidate running as an R, and gives an America First candidate the incentive to jump in.

Awesome post, although I don't think Goldie is dense..........she's just stubborn. She's listened to the celebrities, MSM, and talking heads too long. They try to paint Trump as divisive and polarizing. That's a media/leftard construct. Trump's policies were 99% golden. I don't care if he jello wrestles with hookers on Pay Per View in his spare time. He's not Mr Nice Guy, but he's OUR guy, and he knows how to handle the media and detractors and it pisses them off to no end. I'm good with that.

I hope you're right. 100%.

So DeSantis went to Florida and he will likely leave the state in 2026 to announce a presidential run. He will have taken a state that was trending toward purple, and will have turned it solid red.

Lake has the chance to do the same thing for Arizona.

Soooooo many people on the right have done this for far too long. Hells bells the media literally convinced half the country to shoot an unapproved substance into their arms in 2020 as ;protection' against the seasonal flu. Sadly, the media still has way too much sway over way too many.

Since I can’t read above 4th grade level - your attempt to insult me is amateur hour personified by the way - I will just say the attempt failed fatso.

What failed, asshole, is that you and others who apparently lack the intellect to understand WHY a television show that portrayed a person who had total editorial control over the final air product had “haters”. I didn’t watch the show and didn’t have any particular opinion about DJT one way or another-but you seem to not understand some never liked the man and yet others thought he was okay as a showman but would not be okay as a POTUS.
And you refuse to accept any other opinion other than the one you hold. Fine - but you MUST realize there won’t ever be a consensus majority about much of anything in this country. I truly appreciate most of what he accomplished in four years, but I happen to be ready to turn the page and put both of these very old men out to pasture. I’m not alone. Like it or not.
Comprehend THAT.

I didn't insult you. I made a comment on the effort, not the person.

And I followed it up with self-deprecation for good measure.

I certainly didn't stoop to the level of name calling. I'm not sure why this conversation has triggered you like it has.

Here's exactly what I said, read it carefully because I wrote it intentionally:
"Your last two replies to my posts represent reading comprehension on a 3rd or 4th grade level...or maybe I'm just awful at communicating my point."
I never said anything about you not being able to read, I was insinuating you weren't trying to understand the point because that's how your responses read.

Now to your point - Trump's reputation before he ran for office was almost 180 degrees from where it is today.

Some examples:
Hip Hop - he was referenced positively in dozens of songs:

He hosted SNL twice and had numerous cameos:

The Apprentice really has nothing to do with anything, other than that and his business success were what he was best known for. It's more about a place in time, how society viewed him and why that changed.

He served one term as President and, at least until Covid, was wildly successful telling the establishment swamp to kiss his ass. He showed conservatives there was another way, a better type of leadership than we've seen from the Bushes, Romneys and McCains of the party.

And the response from media and left leaning pop culture? He went from representing success and opulence to public enemy #1.

That - in and of itself - should tell you he was over the target. It should make anyone who wants prosperity, freedom and liberty, and a strong America to look past the times he makes you cringe. If you aren't a Great Reset Globalist, you should be able to hold your nose while you eat your veggies. Wanting him gone because of his age is extremely myopic and short-sighted.

Spoiled brat politics. She hates Trump, loves DeSantis, and wants DeSantis to be President today. She can't wait till 2028.

Nevermind that DeSantis running in 2024 hurts Florida, it hurts America, and it hurts Ron DeSantis. But she wants him NOW NOW NOW and is stomping her feet till she gets her way.

laid out a scenario where we had DeSantis in the WH for 8 years.

It's a great plan. I rarely see things like this occur in reality, however. Too many external factors.

In my mind, DeSantis is much more electable than Trump...despite the polling that many on here have provided. I just don't believe polls have been reliable over the last several years.

Most importantly, I don't believe that DeSantis is a compromise.

Here's the thing. Whether it's Trump, DeSantis, or Jesus himself. The left is going to demonize and vilify whomever the nominee is. They did this to mild mannered Bush. Remember the bullshit? "We're leaving the country if he is reelected!". Same with the RINO Romney. It doesn't matter who it is, we might as well get our pound of flesh in the process. We might as well get the most efficient, politically caustic "getter done" candidate available. The whining, wailing, and crying won't go away. I, for one, could use a mean tweet and closed borders about right now. The excuse that Trump is too old isn't true, at least not yet. The man runs circles around Hidin and is up at 3am generating tweets. Age is just a number until it's not. And Trump still has fire in the tank.

I 100% agree. But there's also no doubt that "swing voters", people who call themselves Republicans who are not, are much less likely to vote for Trump than they would be for DeSantis.

Those people in the middle are absolutely fed up with the left but most of them also hate and fear Trump...for whatever reason, and it truly doesn't matter why. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY...the reality is that they do and they have a vote.

I believe that if the right, the actual right (meaning not either fringe of the right) supports DeSantis in 2024 that he will win in an absolute landslide.

The media is telling them that DeSantis is Trump Jr. Not sure I buy the idea that the middle hates and fears Trump, but doesn't see DeSantis in the same light. I think anyone that hates Trump, hates DeSantis for the same irrational reasons, because they believe he's the same person.

I really don't think @goldmom cares about age, she's just using it as an excuse to say get rid of BOTH Trump and Hiden.

When she really just wants to get rid of Trump and make way for DeSantis. Which is very bad strategy for the reasons I've discussed earlier.

More votes than any R in history, despite a dirty election. A ridiculously high record on endorsements and more coming 11/8.

I can’t say DeSantis could do better, but if I had a choice I’d take the sure thing while it was an option. Keep building the America First bench and try to win multiple elections.

That's a fair point. But I also think that average voter is less likely to vote for Trump.

And I agree with your premise...all of that is based on ignorance from simply being spoonfed BS.

I also understand the tendency to not want to let evil win, to not let the slander have its desired effect (no Trump). OTOH we're at an inflection point. We can't take much more of this liberal "leadership."

I like Trump, I love this country.

But you would admit that he's polarizing, right? That some people will turn out simply to vote against him?

I'm fine with Trump. I just don't believe that he is the only path forward for us. We have other options...well, at least one other option imo.

I have repeatedly told you not to use my name, include me in your posts, assign characteristics to me you deem accurate in order to fit your incorrect assessment.
I think you’re either a Trump advance worker or you’re a hopeless one dimensional lonely little man. Or both...

If so I’ll adjust my visits accordingly.

But you would admit that he's polarizing, right? That some people will turn out simply to vote against him?

I'm fine with Trump. I just don't believe that he is the only path forward for us. We have other options...well, at least one other option imo.
Trump isn't polarizing. The regime has attempted to paint him that way. In fact, no one in my lifetime has united people like DJT has done. No one gives a shit about Biden. A picture is worth 1000 words.

You don’t think they’ll turn DeSantis into the devil and make him just as polarizing? Remember Covid?

Plus, people don’t usually get so mad they just go vote against someone. Usually positive enthusiasm drives voters to the polls.

Point is we can’t cave. It doesn’t work.

We all want the same things. This why we need the BScucks of the world. Raw hamburger to gnaw on. There is no point bickering amongst ourselves. We need our chew toys, and lawd knows, these fools are tasty. 😂

He is polarizing. By definition that means people either love him or hate him. Clearly lots of people love him. The opposite is true as well. Very damn few are neutral when it comes to Trump.

Yes, they will try. They have since 1980.

Agree people don't typically show up to polls to vote against something. That's the main reason why I personally question the last presidential election results. No way that many people voted FOR Biden. We share common ground here.

The "can't cave" part is where we differ. First off, I don't see DeSantis as a lesser alternative. Second, I'm unwilling to cut off my nose in spite of my face. This isn't about Trump for me...it's about our way of life. I think Trump's name on the ballot instead of DeSantis' puts that in more jeopardy.

If Trump wins, great. If he doesn't...WTF are we doing here?

We're not bickering, respectfully disagreeing. At the end of the day our goals are the same.

I don’t disagree. He’s abrasive and has moments that make me cringe. He’s far from perfect.

All I’m saying is we have examples of much less abrasive politicians being turned into monsters by the liberal media. It’s actually worse for any AA who doesn’t stay on the plantation. It doesn’t matter who you are - if you don’t fall into line an entire segment of the population is going to think you are a really bad person.

So as long as the policies are sound and consistent, and the abrasiveness is balanced, that particular attribute doesn’t matter. They just want you to think it does so you support people that are easier for them to beat.

Positive enthusiasm in politics wins elections…
