A slap in God's face

What faith? Faith in Aquinas? It isn't faith in God that's for certain. You're throwing your lack of faith off on others, or trying to. But it isn't working as the rest of us can see.

Unbelief........thy name is @BSC911
Where did I say I have faith in Aquinas? I merely use his thoughts to strengthen my faith. Do you have faith in St. Paul?

1 Corinthians 6: 9

"Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men"

There. The answer you're looking for.
Well, that was St. Paul who said that, not Jesus.

He also said you aren’t supposed to have sex outside of marriage. Have you? If so, it seems that you are destined for the same place.

Leviticus 18:22

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

1 Corinthians 6:9

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

Leviticus 20:13

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

There. Let's see our resident liberal try to avoid the truth about homosexuality now. No chance in Hell he does.
No, I agree it’s a sin. But why do you only focus on the gays and not the adulterers. Are you doomed to the same place?

Your play on affiliation and words doesn't work here dude. The entirety of God's Word is what it is. It's all there for guidance and correction. And you refuse both obviously. There's no way around it. If you're involved in homosexuality then you need to repent to God Almighty ASAP!

I'm focused on what God's word says and the verses therein throw all sinners under the bus for the heinous acts and lifestyle. All sin is the same and stinks in God's nostrils.

Well, I’m not gay, but I know God loves all his children.

And way to avoid my question. it obviously make you uncomfortable.

Agreed, but for some reason you and your ilk tend to focus on the gays. Very telling. We’re all sinners.

Clearly I didn't avoid the question. You are avoiding the fact that you have no faith in the Lord. Whether if Paul, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, or Jesus Himself states said verses in the Bible, it's there for guidance and correction. Not to mention, the foot-in-mouth post about your faith in St. Aquinas rather in Christ. You are losing the battle and the war in one fell swoop.

Dude, sinners are sinners regardless. Gays, adulterers, fornicators, murderers, liars, thieves, angry people....they're all the same. With no particular focus.
Ah, but I seem to have missed all of your posts about adultery, while you seem particularly offended about the gays.

Everything I posted regarding scripture entailed the entire enchilada of sinners. All sinners are the same in which they live outside of God's providence. Once again, no particular focus. You seem more offended about homosexuality being exploited for its true, sinful nature.

O ye of little faith...............

You would if you read the Bible. Your defiant stance proves you represent a self-controlling, prideful, self-centered life unwilling to submit your life to God. Your "agnostic theist" stance keeps you in control. This book can set you straight: https://www.paultripp.com/do-you-believe-doctrine ;)

I admit to ignorance, therefore I am “prideful” and “defiant”?

How would you describe someone who insists his assertions are objective truth and speaks authoritatively about God's will?

So does that mean you think that people 'know' what is right and wrong, and it's on each of us to 'do the right thing'?

Sounds like you are saying you believe we all answer to ourselves vs God?

Your first sentence is a rough approximation of what I actually think. Your second sentence is one of many possible interpretations of what I stated.

So is the 2nd sentence close to what you believe or way off?

Personally, I try to give people a lot more leeway with their religious beliefs. We are all learning and asking questions. What I believe today is different from what I believed 5 years ago and what I believe in 5 more years will be different than today.

I think the point is to keep moving forward, and asking God to show me the path to take. The rest sorts itself out, in my view.

Unless he repents of his sins. This is why you cannot be a 'faithful' sinner and also expect to enter Heaven.

BTW weren't you just foaming at the mouth and claiming other posters were saying you were going to hell? Why do the same thing here that you claimed being upset about?

You REALLY need to work on your insecurities. I'm trying to be as civil as possible with you here, but your inferiority complex is causing you to hate a lot of people over nothing.

I don’t really have a position on your second sentence. I suppose if people are born with an inchoate sense of right and wrong, it could suggest an intelligent design. And by “right and wrong,” I just mean a basic sense of fair play and the Golden Rule, not wide-ranging applied ethics.

But what happens when your sense of fair play changes and evolves?

Without moral guardrails, you are left to your own devices.

If you looked at what you thought was 'right' at the age of 20 and compared it to what you think is 'right' today, you would likely see some stark differences. If we subscribe to the theory that whatever we 'think' is 'right' is actually right, then 'right' is basically whatever we think it is at the moment. And in certain situations, we can easily convince ourselves that something is 'right' when another time we would be able to clearly see it was anything but.

IMO. Very dangerous slope to start down.

Why? We are merely having a conversation. Can your faith not withstand some questioning? Does God only want blind followers?

I use my God given brain to justify my faith. Why are some so offended by that.

I meant dangerous for you. I'm fine, it was genuine concern. No flame intended and I absolutely was not offended.

Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion, but I don’t believe faith is enough.

If you're looking for proof in order to have faith, I fear that you will be frustrated in your efforts.

That's also blasphemous imo. Not judgement on my part, rather recognition and just one Christians opinion based on his own personal journey.

Question for you. Will faithful homosexuals go to hell?

That's a question for God brother. There is no unforgivable sin prior to the rapture.

If you're merely asking for an opinion, I believe that one would need to repent regardless of the sin we're referring to. And since we're all sinners...

This^^^to rationalize sin may work on earth but to God, a sin is a sin. To continue on in a sinful way with no repenting or modifying behavior to avoid sins, will not be judged favorably by Christ.

Good answer. But the guy I was asking seems to think he knows.

I'll never understand why the left always wants to bend over backwards to justify sin.

Just stop sinning. This isn't that hard.

To quote John 8: 44 fromn the KJV....

“Ye are of your father the devil, and He was a murderer from the beginning,
Besides Jobs kids, servants and livestock, who did the Devil murder? And he only killed them because he had a bet with God, as God let him.

The same God that killed every human on the planet but one family that one time.
