I actually agree with you generally but the last two Heisman trophy winners have been transfers. It used to be the guys mostly transferring were guys stuck at the bottom of the depth chart and not that good anyway, but more high profile players are transferring than ever. Nobody is really waiting their turn to start like they used to. You even have players transferring in season, that was unheard of before. If they don’t start asap they leave.

They do claim the 1942 title. As does UGA. They are both correct. The trend of players sitting out for bowl games was non-existent in 1942. That has only started recently. Has nothing to do with the AP crowning before bowl games. The AP used to do it that way because they had no official connection to CFB while other selectors waited until after the bowl games. Then, the AP changed their ways and started to include after bowl games. But, seeing as you’ve proven to not know anything about football history, I didn’t expect you to know that.
