Porter Moser may not have the team for this tournament but I wouldn't count him out at OU. He has beaten some very good teams in the tourney while coaching at Loyola-Chicago. IIRC, they beat Tinerc in the Sweet Sixteen some years back.

Typical Mike White getting out coached despite having more talent than the opposition.
That year they made the Final Four as an 11 seed Magic Mike White had let Coach Moser and Loyola come to Florida's home court and beat us when we were ranked #5 at the time.
He turned down Kentucky a couple of times and I certainly do not want him back at Florida as long as we have Coach Golden. If he does return I see him at a blue blood program because at his age he may not be interested in building a team from scratch. If Coach Golden leaves UF I suppose Donovan may have some interest but the odds are long that happens.I am glad we have Golden here as he seems to be a great coach to have in the NIL area and is great at finding guys that can elevate your team and he isn't worried about if someone is a big NBA prospect or not.
Speaking of the NBA I wonder if Donovan ever comes back to college as he has had no luck in the NBA. OK City blew that 3-1 lead against Golden State his first season the one year he actually had the players to contend and he hasn't been past the first round of the playoffs since - missing the playoffs every year but one in Chicago and looking like they might miss the playoffs again this year. Coaches can't change things much in the NBA and you aren't winning without the players. If a decent job opens up or Chicago decides to move on I could see him coming back to college soon.

I think he made a horrible decision by leaving the Gators based on where college basketball is today. Had he remained I feel he would be in the $8 to $10 million salary range and had another NCAA title or more. But the lure of the NBA got to him.
Now with that said, DOUBLE THE SALARY OF COACH GOLDEN. Now
As for OKC blowing a 3-1 lead, that was all Kevin Durant. The dumbass singlehandedly lost those last two games with his idiotic ball handling and turnovers. Then he made the b1tch move by signing with GS for an easy path to a title as he could have won it all during Donovan's 1st year.I am glad we have Golden here as he seems to be a great coach to have in the NIL area and is great at finding guys that can elevate your team and he isn't worried about if someone is a big NBA prospect or not.

I know Billy is a gym rat and all, but I could actually see him as our next AD. As long as I'm being delusional, maybe Urban Meyer will be the next AD, fire Napier, then hire himself as our next HC, Barry Alvarez style. He turned down Kentucky a couple of times and I certainly do not want him back at Florida as long as we have Coach Golden. You know I never thought of Billy as an administrator but I like that idea. Although as you said it is probably delusional.I know Billy is a gym rat and all, but I could actually see him as our next AD. Worried in general, people keep passing it off like they were taking it easy against a 16 seed.. What I saw was the worst basketball they've played the entire season the last 22 minutes of the game since that 2nd UT game. That little nothing NDSU team scored at will the entirety of that span, they literally didn't go a possession without scoring until like the under 8 in the 2nd half. The defense was absolutely miserable, soft and inexcusable.. If they didn't start so hot to start the game that game could have easily been a possession to possession grinder with 8 minutes left because of all the boneheaded shit.. This isn't the regular season anymore, you **** around and think your good now and play lazy the whole thing ends.. Seemed like the team lost whatever wave they've been riding on for a long time now in that 2nd half, I pray that isn't what happens.. Richard was completely off, Condon was embarrassing and so were all the bigs for that matter on defense. Can't rely on Clayton going nuclear every single gameWorried about UConn
Worried about UConn
Their coach is great and they have a championship mentality, having won it the last 2 years. There is talent on that team. We are better, but we'd better play focused and not settle for jacking up NBA 3's and hope to win. Have to play tough, physical defense, crash the boards, limit turnovers and work the ball. This is a concerning game for sure, but we SHOULD win.On paper they look like a possible threat for one game but not for another championship run. Some metrics say their offense is good but they are lacking on defense unlike this OK game.
They've won 13 tournament games in a row, that was the first one that wasn't by double digits..Their coach is great and they have a championship mentality, having won it the last 2 years. As much as I love Walter Clayton, early in the game he too often hogs the ball and takes all the shots himself. That keeps guys like Richard, Martin & Condon from getting touches and getting more involved in the game. We can't rely on Clayton taking NBA length 3 pointers to beat a good team. He has to share the ball more and get all the players on the floor active and involved in the game early on. In games where Richard doesn't do much, it's because he doesn't get the touches he needs and then starts forcing shots whenever he does get the ball in his hands. Of late, Condon has been missing chippies from close in, but tonight was 4-9, hit 2 3's and scored 12 points. Haugh was 0-5 shooting 3's, but still scored 13 points. We shot 48% from the field, but allowed them to shoot 46%, which is unusual for a Gator defense. We play better when the scoring is balanced, we limit turnovers and dominate the boards. We got outscored in the paint 48-36 and they turned us over as much as we did them - 12 each. We simply have to play better to beat UCONN because they are fully capable and better than Georgia, who we lost to on an off night. They've won 13 tournament games in a row, that was the first one that wasn't by double digits..
We are 8.5 point favorites, if we play our B game we should win.. Today was not that, today was concerning especially if Richard is in one of those MIA periods again we can't afford that.. When he's on he's on, when he's bad he's REALLY BAD.
Also our defensive rebounding has not been near as good since the SEC Tournament for some reason, Condon and the bigs are missing too many easy shots too...
