Well as discussed elsewhere, their best player (Queenie) does a lot of crabbing like taking 6 steps with the ball without getting a traveling whistle. 😂
I wonder if this is the chalkiest Elite 8 ever with three 1 & 2 matchups and a fourth 1 & 3 matchup.
It seems to be the chalkiest tournament I can ever remember. All 4 number 1 seeds are in the Elite 8 and the worst seed is a #3 in Texas Tech. Just from eye observation, Houston is probably the weakest link remaining in the tournament. The Aubarners lost their mojo in their last 6 games but seem to have somewhat recovered from their skid with their last win.
The team that wins it all this year will earn it the hard way…that is for sure…there are no “easy” outs left. The team left standing will be tough sumbitches…

Thanks for the update. We certainly need a team at full strength as we go into the final stretch. I am beginning to get the pregame jitters because I want this one bad. I am appreciative of Coach Golden and would like nothing better than to see him celebrating a trip to the Final Four.

Gotta take better care of the ball and keep our bigs out of foul trouble. Do both of those things and we win.

They certainly proved that. The entire basketball world thought the gators were dead in the water. 10 points down and the clock was their enemy.
Then they struck like a cottonmouth. Those three pointers were like daggers to the heart.
They stated rebounding like their lives depended on it as well…some huge offensive ones by Condon and others in the last five minutes.
Yes, we can't say enough about the front court and rebounding. It was a total team effort and I can't overlook the coaching of Todd Golden. He had the right players in the game at the right time.
Pressure got to Texas Tech with the two missed free throws, both one and one. The Gators thrived under pressure.
This game may be better for the Gators than a 20 point blow out. You have to have a game like this along the way to a Championship. A little luck and playing under pressure.
We said the same after UConn though but who knows without the UConn struggles maybe they don't beat Texas Tech.
All the teams left are great. It’s really awesome to see our hoops team at this level again.

Yep I think it would have been. The Big East in the 80s got 3 of 4 Final Four teams I think. Not sure if that is the only time that happened.
Yep, the NCAA added more TV timeouts and gave teams one less timeout. Those added TV timeouts have disrupted UF's rhythm at times during the season and especially the tourney.
To bad that they don't disrupt the teams (add your own adjectives here) turn-over's....
The free throw shooting was astounding. If you had told me prior to the game we needed 25 out of 27 to win I would have said our buns are toasted. Maybe we can put a complete game together in the next two.

Gawds, I hope that they haven't used up all of that lucky stuff already, because with 2 games to go they will need to be double-lucky to come away as champs, even if they can play complete games. A Final-4 with all 4 1 Seeds going at it....

I will say it before the Final 4. There is no biased officiating against the Florida Gators in the NCAA tournament, especially the Final 4. If we win it will be because we played the better game. If we lose it will be because the other team played the better game. Blaming the officials for a Gator loss is a loser's mentality and to think there is bias against Florida at this level is, to me, crazy. Refs make mistakes, players make mistakes, but none of it is intentional. It's part of the game, especially with all the physicality that is allowed in college basketball today. There is literally a foul on every possession and the refs do their best to call the ones that affect the play or are so obvious they can't be ignored, without the intent to help or harm either team. I believe that with all my heart and if some disagree with me, that's fine. Now, may the Gators be the best team on Saturday and Monday and take home the title!! Go Gators!
