Someone tried to take him down but failed. He certainly did not act like he was guilty. It did not affect his coaching or how his team played. His wife hasn't tried to divorce him. Everything looks good so far. It looked bleak at the beginning when the charges were first made.
We'll see if that's the case, or if they would just like to see this all disappear and be quickly forgotten?
I'd not put any $$ on either possibility, but we'll see what goes forward and what doesn't....
My question is do the authorities have the alleged photos? If so I would be interesting to know how they got out there.
Iāve seen a couple screenshots floating around Twitter. It sounds to me like he was engaged in pretty much garden variety social media horndoggery. But the really damning stuff, if it exists, was deleted. So the original news story and the title 9 stuff was relying just on witness statements. Sounds like itās more an issue between him and his wife as it doesnāt sound like it involved UF students or employees.
If there was any real damning stuff and if he deleted it he would be in trouble as far as being the coach here at UF. It's pretty easy for any basic investigator to dig up deleted stuff and if the initial claims were true these "victims" would have a lot of evidence which it sounds like they don't. If UF has a good case of them lying to the school/investigators they need to be kicked out of school or barred from returning if already gone but I think PC nonsense will prevent that from happening.
In big school back alley dirty PC politics, winning can clean up a lot of problems, while losing exacerbates them.... I'll bet that Todd is 'coaching the chit outta them' 24/7 right now.... š
Winning politics goes a long way but PC politics is really strong. I am glad UF hasn't reached the point where Golden would be suspended pending the outcome when there was no evidence backing the big claims up. I think at some other universities he might have been suspended until the investigation was over. A student is likely suspended from campus even at UF with similar claims until he can prove he is innocent though.
Luckily UF didn't abandon Golden like White abandoned his players due to "fan" harassment.
Innocent until PROVEN GUILTY is the law of the land and it's the correct way to go about things on an Administrative level, or on a legal in court level.
However, OPINIONS are free to move at whatever pace that they choose to move at and always have been.

@instaGATOR I am merely pointing out UF unlike some other universities might have done stood by Coach Golden until the evidence came in while Coach White abandoned his UF players due to some heat from the fanbase. As far as the UF decision makers White would have probably been given one more year to see if he could have got things corrected but luckily fan pressure made White take the leghumpers job and saved us the buyout money.

He coached 2 schools PG's to their schools all time record holders (Speedy & Cheezee) in assists.
Ne never had a losing season and went to a post season Tourney every year.
No other UF basketball coach can say that, not even the wonderful 2X NC Billy-D....
White and Mullen's major failings imo, was their response to the Co-V Scamdemic and Socialist-U's response and demands to it. Both coaches were correct, while Socialist-U was/is as FoS as they've been for a couple of decades now. I would love to see Socialist-U's entire socialist Admin cleaned out, as the school has now become a DC style swamp imoho.... I spent decades being a proud UF/Gator fan, but now I'm only holding on by a thread.....
I donāt know anything about this stuff but what I read was that when you unfollow/block someone on instagram, it deletes all the posts. That was one of the things mentioned in the alligator article that he followed a bunch of girls on instagram and sent them messages (this you can apparently see) and then would unfollow them. Girls apparently blocked him as well. So I think there is no documentation of the really nasty allegations.
I heard a couple reporters, Jeff Goodman for one, say that he saw all the electronic receipts and it was āmessy.ā Sounds to me like he was pushing up on girls online, which again is not a crime. Sending unwanted dic pics is pretty nasty stuff but I donāt think that is documented. If it were you can be sure it would be all over the internet by now.
So bottom line is if it were all documented it would probably be borderline/arguably firable, but thereās no proof. Itās their word against his.
Think he justifiably has been given a chance to move on and I hope he learns from this and is more careful how he conducts himself in the future.
He appears to be a really good coach, both in terms of putting a roster together and in coaching them up.
They could easily have proof if pictures like that were sent to them on Instagram etc. Sounds like they made that up for a money grab. They need to put up or shut up and I doubt UF could force Instagram and them to produce the evidence since it's not a criminal case but if there was a way to prove they were lying they should be kicked out of UF. Don't care if he liked some post or something like that of theirs once they took it to the bigger claims and if they were made up they should pay a price if it could be proven.
I take the position that Todd Golden did NOTHING wrong and will not speculate about what he could have done or might have done. He's married with kids, his wife has stuck by him and there is ZERO evidence that he did ANYTHING wrong. And to assume or presume Coach Golden did anything improper or unethical is unfounded and simply not right.
I have been in a similar situation. Falsely accused of a reprehensible act(in my youth long before internet) when itās your word against theirs. Itās an awful feeling. If he is innocent which I will believe until proven otherwise he has my sympathy.
