This is a character building win. Ask Auburn how tough it is to win there.
If you go .500 in this year's SEC on the road and take care of business at home, likely the SEC title and a top 2 seed will live there. To win in March, you have to win games sometimes you probably should have lost.. Long time Gator fans know we don't win many like that, we rarely steal games we should have lost.. Down 14, then down 5 with a minute left after that bank in 3 at the end of shot clock..
Gotta give Golden credit, he called TO, ran that NBA set for corner 3 for the hot hand Richard.. Putting the press on when everything was going wrong is what won the game, then it caused that steal that put Martin at the line to tie it.. Will Richard won the game on the court though, best game he's had. Good teams win in the tournament when everything is going wrong then have that one guy can score like 25 randomly because of how deep you are.
Everyone is acting like shocked that Richard had that game tonight, but in reality I've kind of been wondering why he hasn't done it more often. He's a veteran guy that would have been the main guy if Clayton didn't come back.. and then Martin coming in as well. In a weird way, that was the biggest win of the season, felt like the UNC win.

Texas A&M stole a win at Ole Miss the same way UF did. Trailed the whole game till the end.
Thank God for Will Richard, otherwise we'd have suffered not only their players mocking the chomp but seeing their POS low life women's basketball coach more on the screen than the players celebrating. Too bad the SECN had no balls to put the camera on her after they lost.I would almost feel bad for South Carolina if it wasn't for that **** Staley over there running her mouth the entire game..
My daughter was there and couldnt believe itTexas A&M stole a win at Ole Miss the same way UF did. Trailed the whole game till the end.
White is a really good recruiter. Candidly the dawgs have better players than we do. Two of their kids are projected 1st round. But his coaching is so boring and predictable that he gets in the way of victory. Hell, we had Nembhard and Mann on the team together and still couldn't win any type of championship. If Mike White coached last night's Gator team, we'd have been blown out by at least 20. Speaking of White, his team choked a 16 point lead in the first half to give Arky their very first SEC win.
It's really hard to get a feel on this team the last month.. We haven't played well in awhile honestly, even the UT blowout we didn't play well offensively.. That's what is weird about this team, when they shoot well and got it all going they just murder ball people pretty fast.. and when they play bad they still have a chance to win at the end every time anyway. That was the worst game from the bigs this year, they all sucked but even then they still got enough boards. It's frustrating as hell to watch them lately, started the Texas game slow and like they didn't care off of a loss too then slowly put it on.
Clayton plays like he doesn't give a shit too much, he's too passive it's odd because he could score 30 a game if he was more aggressively looking to score on offense. Martin brings it every game and does the dirty work and tries to get others involved. If Aberdeen can keep improving the rest of the year that could be really big for the whole team.
You mean the only Gator coach that never had a losing season? If Mike White coached last night's Gator team, we'd have been blown out by at least 20. Speaking of White, his team choked a 16 point lead in the first half to give Arky their very first SEC win.
If Billy Donovan inherited what Mike White inherited, oh wait! So you're dismissing everything Norm Sloan, Lon Kruger and Donovan built at UF. As long as you keep propping up Mike White, we'll continue to remind you that White had just one great run during his six seasons in Gainesville. You mean the only Gator coach that never had a losing season?
You mean the only Gator coach that went to a post season tourney every year?

I can't remember if it was County or Ocala who mentioned this, but White currently has two 1st round NBA picks on his roster, yet still remains a few levels lower than regular season Rick Barnes at Tennessee. Even if White had Kevin Durant on his roster like Barnes did, he'd still piss away his talent.
You’d rather have Mike White than Golden? Absurd. Sex stalking aside obviously. You mean the only Gator coach that never had a losing season?
You mean the only Gator coach that went to a post season tourney every year?
You know, the one that never had a tourney one and done like the current coach?
The one with a 4.0 character that never got accused of being a scumbag?
You mean that coach??? 🧐
LMFAO😂at the continued dissing on a solid guy that left here because
this place had turned into a Socialist-U and was leaning towards scumbag-hood.....
I'd still rather have White and Mullen, but being a life long Gator fan, I put up with it,
but not as a silent go-along to get-along punk.... 😝
Weak stuff goaterdud3, because I never mention Mike unless some dufus like you brings him up with yet another diss on him.As long as you keep propping up Mike White,
No fevered-brains, I'll be hoping that my Gator players win all of their games.@instaGATOR is going to let us have it if Mike White pulls out a win Saturday. Hopefully the team is ready to go for that game. (ditto)
No fevered-brains, I'll be hoping that my Gator players win all of their games.
What White/Ugly do this season, or any season, is of no concern to me.
All Mike's doing at UGly is taking a program that's a perennial loser to a solid winning season.
But IF the Gators lose, the diss-mouths should never diss on him again.
Otherwise, they will be shown to be proven even more stu-pid than is usual for them...
What you THINK you know is coming outta your feveredbrains, not out of any reality connected to me.You know dang well if White won that game you would be grinning at us.
What you conveniently left out was Donovan was rebuilding a team that lost 4 seniors in Patric Young, Scottie Wilbekin, Will Yeguette and Casey Prather. The same way Donovan lost Taurean Green, Noah, Horford, Brewer and Lee Humphrey, but keep trying to prop up White again, giving him credit for young but talented players Billy D left.Weak stuff goaterdud3, because I never mention Mike unless some dufus like you brings him up with yet another diss on him.
What Mike got was a roster diminished team that had just had a losing season.
He took them to the NIT Quarter Final without any of the home games he'd earned, (O'Dome Renovations).
And you seem to never remember or acknowledge the fact that he had constant big guy injuries to deal with.
Or that he had to try to deal with the 2 years of Scamdemic with little support from Socialist-U. >> (typical of U)
What Mike left the Golden-boy scumbad (imo) was a team that had never had a losing season.
So Goldie began his UF tenure with a losing season, followed by a one & done tourney appearacnce.
Followed by UF getting more bad nation wide pub.
And before that could be settled, one of his assistants joined him on the scumbags list.
Good to know what you'll always stand up for, while dissing on a 4.0 character winning coach.... 🤓
Do be sure to let me know when the Golden boy wins something post season that's worth talking/bragging about.
And that's if he manages to lie/threaten/buy his way out of his current ugly problems that are draggin' down UF's already tarnished rep..... 🤔
Ignorant and/or lying BS as usual from you on this subject. What you conveniently left out was Donovan was rebuilding a team that lost 4 seniors in Patric Young, Scottie Wilbekin, Will Yeguette and Casey Prather. The same way Donovan lost Taurean Green, Noah, Horford, Brewer and Lee Humphrey, but keep trying to prop up White again, giving him credit for young but talented players Billy D left.
You trash Golden and Donovan yet your boy Mike White hasn't won squat with far better talent.Ignorant and/or lying BS as usual from you on this subject.
You claim I'm proping up White, while it's really you dissing and making endless excuses.
Never bring White up again and you won't see me talking reality about him, bet you can't though because I've made you this offer several times before now. 🤓
This is an ole saw from you where you use cherry picked crap in some disturbed effort to continue to rag on a coach that's not been here in years. While you conveniently ignore all of the bad crap that the new guy has arrived here with.
I get it. Goldie is YOUR kind of man/coach, while White is more my kind of decent man and a winning coach.
And White can't coach a lick either... Jan 18th 2025 >>> A 70-68 loss to No. 1 Auburn/Pearl.
But here's what you can't get around, no matter how much BS you continue to spew out....
HC Todd Golden 6 Years, 112-67, .626 W-L%

From his Gator Bio: In six seasons under Mike White, the Gators have been a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament and won at a high level in the Southeastern Conference while scheduling an ambitious non-conference slate year-in and year-out.
The Gators have played the toughest schedule of any SEC team, both overall and non-conference, over White’s tenure.
Florida’s average nonconference schedule-strength ranking of 36.5 is almost 50 places higher than the league’s next-best offering, with Kentucky checking in at 85.3.
(not the chump schedule that Goldie began the 2024-25 season with)
Besides losses of several of his Big's here, he also lost Preseason SEC Player of the Year and team leader Keyontae Johnson suffered a medical emergency @ FSUcks.
Under White’s guidance, Chiozza set the Florida career record with 571 assists and became the second player in Florida history to dish 200+ assists in a season. White's PG at LaTech also set their schools assists record.
UF has consistently tackled one of the most challenging schedules in the nation and yet has still racked up wins at a clip that places the Gators among the nation’s elite. (even through the 2 Scamdemic years)
White has led Florida to 4 consecutive NCAA Tournament berths since 2017, the only SEC team to do so and one of 12 schools nationally. But the Gators have not only earned those berths, they are also one of just six teams in the country to earn a win in each of the past four tournaments. The Gators’ average KenPom finish (26.5), 63 conference wins and six NCAA Tournament wins all trail only Kentucky in the SEC over the course of White’s six seasons.
That's just a small part of what was given up to hire what is likely (imo) a scumbag one & done chump....
Go doing some reading at the Gator Bio link, or continue to sound like the ignorant fool you've always been here.
PS - What any other coach did while at UF is just your 'chit-against-the-wall BS' when it comes to discussing White vs Goldie....Mike White - Men's Basketball Coach - Florida Gators

You trash Golden and Donovan yet your boy Mike White hasn't won squat with far better talent.
How could I forget that you were also a Butters McElwain lover as well. It all makes sense now, especially plucking Max Brown from Central Michigan.Never trashed Donovan, just the opposite.
Seeing that he left on a losing season is far from trashing a HC with 2 NC's in 19 years.
It's just an obvious fact for anyone not having their head up the butt.
The honest props on White was him taking over a team with a losing record and winning with them.
That's in no way trashing on BillyD.
The only thing that could be considered trashing on Golden was his own record and seeing that he came in to a team with a winning record, while he came away with a 1st season losing record.
All three of those things are TRUE.
How you put your own idiotic spin on them is up to you, but that's not a blame on me.
You've now run your stupidity into the ground yet again, so you'll have to carry on with this on your own.
😴
50/50 inconsistent? Damn old man, you didn't have much to start with, but whatever's left is starting to seep out too. In 19 games Clayton has scored double digit points in 15, he's scored 20+ in 7, and 15+ in 12. His asst to turnover ratio has been negative in only 5 of the 19 games. Nah, he's had a handful of bad games, but he's been our best player in 70% of our games. Thats actually very impressive when you consider who's playing around him and paired with the fact he's not a true PG.Florida Gators Glue Guy Thomas Haugh Does the Dirty Work
Thomas Haugh might not be the biggest name on the Florida Gators, but they wouldn't be 17-2 without him. The dirty work, the unglamorous part of the game of basketball. Florida Gators sophomore Thomas Haugh brings his lunch pail to the court every game. While headlines capture the stats and performance of the stars, the glue guys, the unselfish that do anything to help the team, mean a great deal.
(the same can be said of Aberdeen in a slightly different 6th Man role - iG)
When the iG hit on Clayton as being 50/50 inconsistent and acting like he'd lost his girlfriend, I got jumped on and told how great he is. My mind has not changed but only solidified on that opinion. Great talent, but inconsistent output. I'm still hoping that he can get it together as the season moves on....
NOTE: When the iG finds an article that expresses the same thought, ideas, or positions that I have, I don't spend a lot of time writing my own post, I just cut and past some or all of their's, while usually but not always with a link to their's...
