Yeah they’ve had the gators guessing. Except for BT.Gators struggling at the plate tonight. The last few innings they've been in the hole 0-2 a bunch. Only 3 hits. Credit to Vandy pitching.

Good lord that guy is smoking hot right now. I think the baseball must look like a beachball to him.Riopelle changed all that. These guys just need traffic on the bases.
Outhit 10-4 right now. But we have drawn some base on balls. The whistling dude drives me batty. We’ve been squeezed on at least 5 third strikes and they called a foul tip on a ball the guy missed by 2 feet.
I believe that is correct. So it’s just single elimination from here on in the SECT?
I think those guys kind of are what they are. Would be nice to see them have productive bats at least. See some pitches, work a walk, move a runner. Shelnut can lengthen the lineup, but he hasn’t hit in a while. Robertson and Evans just aren’t going to do much at bat.The bottom 3 in our batting order are giving us nothing. That has to change if we're going to make a real run to Omaha.
Yeah that’s tough. Both of those teams are regional host-types.Uconn and Texas Tech tough draws. Looking at these regionals some of the 16 seeds got their ticket already punched to supers.
Not this year. Solid teams year in and year out, but nowhere near Top 16 seeds.Yeah that’s tough. Both of those teams are regional host-types.
Not sure about top 16, but they both could make a case for top 25.Yeah that’s tough. Both of those teams are regional host-types.
Uconn slipped some the last 2 weeks, but they are definitely good. You are right about TCU, but we aren't playing them, we have Texas Tech in our regional.UConn was ranked in the top 10 like two weeks ago. If they won their tourney they probably would have hosted. TCU won the Big 12 tourney.
Ah, there you have it. That is a big difference.Uconn slipped some the last 2 weeks, but they are definitely good. You are right about TCU, but we aren't playing them, we have Texas Tech in our regional.
Neither UConn nor Texas Tech finished in the Top 25 of D1 Baseball's last rankings. In Warren Nolan's ELO rankings, which many think is the most accurate gauge of a team's strength, combining RPI, SOS and statistical analysis, Florida is #2, Texas Tech #33 & UConn #38. UConn is #23 in RPI, #78 in SOS. They've only played 9 games against teams in the Top 50 and are 4-5 in those games. 36 of their 58 games have been against teams outside the Top 100. Even though they were ranked #9 in the D1 poll on May 1 with a 32-11 record, they still went 11-4 down the stretch, but their RPI was never high enough to be in serious consideration to host, IMO. Texas Tech is #41 in RPI, #46 in SOS. They are 12-13 vs. Teams in the Top 50 and finished 6th in the 9 team Big 12. They were never going to host either. Not saying they both aren't good teams fully capable of beating Florida. Just saying that all regionals are competitive with teams capable of beating the host seeds.
All good, man. Sometimes we all just argue in circles and it does become pointless. For clarity, I don’t meant ocala’s argument, the whole thing.
Seems a little on the risky side. Especially when you have basically two aces. I love cags but there’s probably a one in three chance he walks the ballpark. Plus you could burn a lot of your bullpen. Lose game one in these things and you are really in a tough spot.![]()
Jac Caglianone to start against Florida A&M
The Gators are 44-14 overall entering the NCAA Tournament, which begins Friday247sports.com
Needs to be on a short leash. But if it works out then we are sitting pretty. Gators should be able to put up 8-10 runs against FAMU. On a positive front, you know quickly which Cags you are getting.Seems a little on the risky side. Especially when you have basically two aces.
