Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin 2020 QB Carson Beck announced his de-committed from Alabama on Monday night during an interview with 1010XL radio out of Jacksonville. The 6-foot-4, 225 pound signal caller had been committed to the Crimson Tide since last June.
As a junior, Beck completed 209 of 356 passes for 3,546 yards and 39 touchdowns to eight interceptions. The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, currently ranks Beck as the nation’s No. 240 overall prospect and #10 QB-pp.

Florida and Beck have a history. He was previously committed to the Gators to play baseball before he gave a pledge to Alabama for football last summer. Beck is now done with baseball and plans to focus solely on football moving forward. Florida head coach Dan Mullen and his track record with QB's is something Beck appreciates. He noted Mullen's history after his most recent visit to UF.
