Dabo to the NFL rumors?

Seems to be picking up steam.

He visited the Raiders last week, whom only have an interim HC currently since Gruden left.
Has some former players he's familiar with out there
He's not a fan of paying players
His recruiting class is falling apart so to speak...
Is the burden of replacing both OC's now too much for him?
I wonder if he feels the timing is right?

Was Mullen a pushover?

Starting to get the vibe that Mullen gave players lots of space to do as they wished. Did Napier come in and put his foot down and stomp out the flame for some of these guys? As far as my flames, candles are lit and I’m praying “trust the process” amen.

We can all be honest and admit to ourselves he was at Florida when a lot of things were overlooked. Thank the Lord for Tebow!

Darnell Stapleton Hired as Florida’s Offensive Line Coach

Stapleton coached at Louisiana under Napier in 2021

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Football Head Coach Billy Napier announced Friday that Super Bowl Champion Darnell Stapleton will serve on his staff as an assistant, coaching the offensive line.

Stapleton heads to Gainesville after spending the 2021 the season with Napier at Louisiana, where he helped the Ragin’ Cajuns to a Sun Belt Conference championship.

Stapleton’s unit blocked for 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championship Game MVP Levi Lewis, who compiled 2,646 yards of passing, the second-best in the league, threw the third-most touchdowns in the conference (19) and ranked fifth with 203.5 passing yards per game through 13 games.

On the ground, Louisiana’s offensive line helped the Ragin’ Cajuns to 31 rushing touchdowns and 2,496 rushing yards, ranking 14th and 24th respectively in the nation, while placing second and third in the conference in 13 games.

Prior to Louisiana, Stapleton spent four seasons at Sam Houston State, where he was the offensive line coach and the run game coordinator from 2017-20. In 2019, the Bearkat offensive line produced a pair of All-Southland Conference selections in first teamer Colby Thomas and third teamer Tyler Edwards, who help running back Donovan Williams finish second in the Southland in rushing with 925 yards and 14 touchdowns.

From 2014-17, he served at the offensive line coach at Bucknell University.

In 2016, Stapleton coached Julién Davenport, who captured First Team All-America honors from the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Foundation and STATS. Also a four-time All-Patriot League selection, Davenport became Bucknell’s first NFL Draft pick since 1969 when he was taken in the fourth round by the Houston Texans.

The offensive line coach at Pace University for six months prior to joining the Bucknell staff, Stapleton completed two years as a graduate assistant at Rutgers, working closely with an offensive line that ranked in the top 10 nationally in fewest sacks allowed in 2012. The Scarlet Knights went to two bowl games during Stapleton’s tenure, which also included a Big East title.

Stapleton joined the Rutgers program in 2005 after two playing years at Hudson Valley Community College. He started all 25 games at center during his two years at Rutgers, earning recognition as a finalist for the Rimington Trophy as a senior. Stapleton anchored an offensive line that blocked for future NFL Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice.

Stapleton graduated from Rutgers in 2007 with a degree in business and labor relations.

Stapleton was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2007 to 2010 and was on the squad that won Super Bowl XLIII at the conclusion of the 2008 campaign. He started 18 games on the offensive line during his time in Pittsburgh, including the Super Bowl. Overall, he played in 26 career games with the Steelers.

Stapleton’s coaching career started in 2011 with the New York Sharks, a women’s professional football team. He followed that stint with one season coaching both the offensive and defensive lines at Montclair Kimberly Academy. The squad posted a 9-2 mark, surpassing the program record for wins by three.

Will Joe Biden apologize for this? Of course this is rhetorical.

It would take courage and decency for Joe Biden to apologize for these outrageous comments made shortly after the Jussie Smollette lies in 2019, which is exactly why he won't.

What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country," President Biden, tweeted in January 2019 when he was mulling a presidential run, "We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie."

Napier video requests...

So it upset some recruits that Napier wanted to see the recruits do some work and put a video together.. (PS I think its kind of dumb as well but I think it had more meanings). Anyways, these recruits didn't want anything from their new coach to know anything about him? Their parents weren't going to ask questions about what kind of coach he is? What their plans are? Should he just laugh and say he is getting paid $7.5 mil and that should be enough? Just curious.

Whispers in the Hall

This is the Deal…..
I have mentioned this several times during my first week here at Rivals. Numerous prospects were going to end up signing with the Gators, including Azareyeh Thomas, Jayden Gibson, Chandler Smith, Austin Ausberry, Mason Taylor, Trevor Etienne, Matthew McCoy, and plenty of others. However, the new staff does not necessarily have the same evaluations as the old staff that is clear to see, and it's ok. I know you are saying, wait a minute, Jason, are you telling me these kids were locked and loaded to sign with the old staff, but they might have a change of heart with the new staff? Yes, I am telling you that for a variety of reasons. For some, it's their choice, but 99% of the situations, it is the choice of the new Head Coach.

We see some crossover with players like David Conner, Austin Ausberry, Jalen Farmer, etc. It is hard to imagine a scenario in which a kid like Austin Ausberry was set to come to UF under the old staff but not under the new staff, especially with Corey Raymond in the room. I do not know enough about Raymond and the relationship he has or may have had with Ausberry to be able to say right now. When a new staff comes in, you also get second life – in this case, we will see what Napier/Raymond and crew can do with a kid like Earl Little JR, who Napier should see today. I know recruiting comes down to relationships most of the time. Take Tanner Bailey or Jacurri Brown. We don't know enough information even to formulate an opinion on whether or not there is something there right now.

Brown is locked and loaded for Miami and fired up about the program's direction. Coach O'Hara went to visit Tanner Bailey as well. "I think it was a great hire for Florida. Coach Napier is a great coach, and I know he will succeed at UF. I'm very interested in UF and hoping to pick up an offer in the coming weeks and get to know the staff. I talked with Coach O'Hara yesterday. He told me he wanted to get me up for a visit."

I hate the waiting game more than anyone, but that is what we are forced to do somewhat right now until we get through this first signing period. The other thing to think about is that we have only a few actual coaches out recruiting right now mixed in with many quality control guys or assistants.

We will not truly understand what the Billy Napier staff is capable of until we see the entire staff. Recruiting is the lifeline of every program in America, and no one can deny that, so the sooner we see the entire staff, the better. And by the way, I can say I think both Austin Ausberry and Jacorey Thomas were impressed with the addition of Corey Raymond to Florida.

I also think two more coaches that Napier is going to hire are equally as good as Raymond on the recruiting front, and when you stop and think about that for a moment, it's pretty scary……I have had two different NFL coaches tell me three more coaches will join Napier from the NFL. I also had another person reach out to me today to tell me a certain college programs head coach is starting to feel around because he believes he is about to need a replacement...was told if it happens would be a big big blow to that schools recruiting efforts....

Inflation hits 39 year high

BUT God bless President Biden. I'm sure all Americans are thanking you.
