Who would you want as head coach if you could take anyone?

Cow-Chip-Kelly nor Jelly-Belly-Kelly from NL.
Both are similar, and neither would ever fit in well at goody-2-shoes UF.
I don't want either of them, so it's never gonna happen,,, so book-it! o_O

Check back with me in 2 years, when the question might actually have some relevance. (better yet, go back to snore-rant and ask who they want instead of Shameous-less JimBlow)

You are "instantly" becoming one of my favorite posters(see what I did there:eek:).... Also, snore chant wants Tom Herman as head coach because they think Jimbo puts his friends above the program(trickett and Charles Kelly) lol

I understand the Gates wont have a new coach for a few years, just seeing what type of coach you would want. I know most Gator fans HATE Meyer..... but his offensive philosophy seemed to work very well. UF will always have a great defense because they get great athletes, think you need an offensive minded coach

The criminoles of Clown-U can take any HC that is willing to come.

The Gators have to meet certain standards, not just be great coaches.

It's either snore-rant, or hor-chant, take your pick...

You are correct. Over the past 45 years we just allowed anybody in lol I think u and i are becoming best friends

A realistic choice for me would be Mike Novell.

He bitch slapped Tom Herman.

He did wonders as a new coach with a new QB, three true freshman RB's, a rag tag group of WR's who became good, and so fourth.

He will sling the ball around.

He has recruited quiet well for Memphis standards.

He may have had a hot year riding the wave Fuente left behind as time will tell.

He is someone to keep an eye on. We may not realistically be looking for a coach until 2018 and he will have more time under his belt.

Back before we hired Mc I suggested Fuente. Nobody paid attention to that suggestion.

Memphis actually turned down Mc in favor of Fuente back in the day. True story. Too bad Foley didn't think of that. Not sure how good Fuente would be in the SEC but I know he wouldn't have the 100 plus ranked offense.

On a side note Memphis turned down Mizzou's Barry Odom and went with Novell. Right now that looks like the better move.

Memphis making better hires compared to SEC schools.

I put this under his Saban rule. Who alive besides Danny wouldn't want him

He has a shelf life. You're ridiculous if your love for him doesn't realize it. At his age now, he may stay at OSU, but watch his name get there for Notre Dame.

After seeing more of PJ Fleck on TV, that's who I want.

That's the guy.

His name is silly but he's young, energetic, and just the right amount of douchebag.

Fleck is an energetic, arrogant asshole with a high flying offense and tons of swag. Reminds me a lot of a young Meyer. Would hire the guy today if Mac went to Oregon.

Give me Mike Gundy. Still pretty young and somebody who consistently does less with more. Always has a good offense and develops QB's well and unlike a lot of those Big 12 teams his squad usually plays solid defense. Career record of 103-50 at a school that's at best 4-5th in line for talent in their own conference. By comparison Les Miles was 28-21 and Jimmy Johnson was 29-25.

Ummmm I would rewatch a couple of their games. High flying offense is the last thing I'd use to describe Fleck. They spread you with formation only but he's a run heavy coach, I would say he's closer to Tressel. They're solid all over but not really spectacular.

The relevant question is; What HC in his right mind would want to come here now? Mickey Mouse maybe....

But Chip and Gus are run heavy too. All I want is something that uses great athletes to create a disadvantage. Neither Chump nor Mac run an offense that does that. The best athlete Saban had, Julio, has been openly critical of the offense he played in at Bama

Julio never liked Saban, he said it plenty of times when I was around him back in the day...

Either way we will always have little brother Noles around to worry about our program

Fair question. I do think UF is major enough job for some one who wants to conquer world will have opportunity to do so here so that may be the reason. Mac is not right fit in my opinon, he just does not have zeal, enthusiasm, energy that is required for this program. Add his limited imagination, it will work best for all parties here if Mac leaves on his own to Oregon.

I don't mind run heavy either but my point is his scheme is very basic. They spread and use both a fullback and an H-back at times and just run straight ahead. Really nothing wide open about it.

Maybe, but don't you know about that 'greener grass' theory?

The head coach today has to have the right personality and tenacity to recruit in the state of Florida against the best coaches in the country, plus be able to go to Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and other places and get a few prime players from those states and others. If you can't recruit you're not going to be successful, especially in Florida and the SEC. To me, the main reason for the drop off in the teams the last couple of years is Saban is basically getting whoever he wants, Jimbo is getting most of who he wants, Ohio State and some others are coming in to Florida and plucking out a couple of 5 star players every year and the other coaches and scrambling for leftovers, including Florida. Meyer was a dynamic recruiter and when started slipping and saw he was losing to Saban and was in for a major rebuilding program he bailed.

BUT on the way out the door Meyer atill landed the number one class in the country. Yes he bailed, but he never faltered in recruiting. Elam, Floyd, etc

That class was filled with talented headcases.

Kind of the thing that happened with his few classes before that.

He got AH,,,, and he could have probably got Shameous too. Glad he's gonzo...

I would select Insty Tater. No one knows more about UF and its incredible history than Insty. He is also a master of finding and posting irrelevant stats and figures. Bur most importantly he is the ninja master of emoticon usage. That should win you at least 3-4 games a year as he psychs out opposing teams, their fans, coaches and for sure opposing players. All hail insty tater, the next UF head coach...... And his teeth are better than MC's

We are badly needing a very strong douche to remove some of these little brother wannabee criminoles. Anyone got a handy fire hose? o_O

I'm home, and you're in someone else's house, being the usual chithead that reFSUcks Clown-U criminole Deion Rule punks have always been.

How do you get back home? Here, I'll give you the directions for it.
You just go west from G'ville until you smell it, then go north until you step in tallycrappy...
