Who remembers Oklahoma 13-2 over FSU?

I bring this up, not to irritate the Noles (although it IS a nice bonus feature), but because of Lane Kiffin doing the same thing that Mark Richt did that year.

Does anyone think Lane's new job requirements will have the same deleterious effect on the Bama offense that Richt's inattention had on FSU?

I think it will. I'm seriously considering Washington's chances now.

I doubt it. Oklahoma just played crazy good defense that game. Would love to see Washington pull an upset however.

That's the year we went down the field and scored easily on the first drive in tally, then never scored again

Basically like the SEC Championship game the year before that and ended up the same score, and the SEC championship game this year. Moral of the story, if Florida scores fast in big games don't take too much out of it, unless it's against Ohio State

thought you guys did well versus Bama's offense, other than the mistakes by the QB. Your general success on offense, more than Kiffin being distracted, would have me taking Washington and the points. Peterson is a decent coach, too, and I expect a well-timed trick play.

Mullen sticking around for our game against OU in 2008 turned out alright. As did Smart sticking around for the Bama playoff run last year.

I do not think there is any hard and fast rule.

I do not think there is any hard and fast rule.

Venables jumped Tebow a few times and did a really good job on our offense for as much as they were giving up most games because of their offense scoring so much, and often. Our defense did better holding the "highest scoring offense in college history" to just 14 measley points... Clemson had plenty of success on Bama's defense in that game last year, enough to make saban resort to tricks.

and he will most likely be our next DC, i will be pissed if he is doing the same thing Collins was and we are still gonna be dealing with the same stuff next year regardless... Shannon should be able to do much more with our defense from his experience, but he likes to play a lot of soft coverages too with the LB's back deep... If he is aggressive at ALL it's already a major upgrade

Yeah it doesnt help at all that he took that job and is alreafy meeting with those players. It can only have 0 to do with it or a negative effect.

opening drive you moved the ball well. rushing yards is misleading because of sacks. I guess I am judging your level of success compared to how well you did on offense against FSU and how hyped Bama has been as unbeatable. Either your offense is better than given credit for, or Bama's D is beatable. I think Washington will give them a game.
