This sounds more like from the Democrat playbook. I don't know why you would want to give them an assist with this division, but you do you.
If Trump took a crap in the street, some of these guys would give him a standing ovation. They care more about defending Trump than beating the democrats.
Democrats are literally in the ear of Ron DeSantis telling him to run against Trump in 2024, and we've already got 'republicans' in this thread getting mad at Trump for saying something.

I care about Trump because I put country over politics. As you just implied, you care more about the politics, beating democrats,

I like Trumps' performance as president, and I will gladly vote for him if and when he runs again. However, sometimes Trump does and says some stupid egotistical things.
And for me, it’s appreciated. My entire life I wanted a real person for President. Someone who spoke exactly what was on his mind. Not like ALL other Politicians that blow smoke up my rear, then stab me in the back. I believe he does those things on purpose, calculated.

We care about Trump because he’s the best person to beat literally any democrat. No republican has come close to his vote totals or seen such a huge groundswell as an incumbent.

Ok let's try a more extreme example of what happened here:
Let's say tomorrow morning Hillary tweets out a picture of she and Ron sitting in her living room smiling and shaking hands. Hildabeast tweets: "Had a wonderful time meeting with Gov DeSantis this morning! Loved his vision for America and think he's the future that the Republican party needs to embrace!"
Trump then goes on Truth Social and issues a statement saying DeSantis is a dumb SOB.
You gonna be mad at Trump for telling the truth, or mad at DeSantis for getting in bed with hildabeast?

If she wins her race and is just as polished in her governance, she becomes a strong candidate for 2028. Hell she would likely be the frontrunner after DeSantis pulled this stunt.
If DeSantis admits he met with them but clarifies he's focused on Florida and he's his own man and no one tells him what to do, then it could even end up being a plus for him.
I doubt he does that. I doubt he says anything, and rumors swirl. If that happens, he's done. Cause he will be listening to the dems in his ear telling him 'Just chill, Trump will keep saying mean stuff and it will backfire bigly!'
Dems know what they are doing. Pitting DeSantis against Trump means one of them gets taken out, either Trump in 2024 or DeSantis from now on.
And we still have some on 'our side' that can't see it. DeSantis' play was to tell the dems to go to hell, not invite them in for a drink and to tell him how awesome he is.
I care about him cause he's the first politician in more than a generation that's pushed America First policies. That's the beginning and end of my care in Donald Trump.
I used to have a high regard for Ryan but now not so much. I would like to get his honest response to what he thinks about the political and criminal activities of the FBI and Justice Department on behalf of the Democrat party.

Primaries Alan Keyes x 2, Fred Thompson, Rick Santorum ( wanted Cain but the leftist lies doomed him) and Ted Cruz.
We ended up with Dole, Bush, McShame, Mittens and Trump.

We all agree...however the REAL question is...does that bother you more than 9% inflation, supply chain crisis, open borders, tanking economy, high energy prices, and , military being taught equity and diversity, instead of how to kill our enemies? I agree with this 100%. However, if the DOJ tries shens to keep Trump from running, DeSantis can't completely rule out running. Or he could say that, and then reverse pivot on it if that went down. Politicians flip flop constantly, but it's a terrible look. (See Hiden).

And my hope is that you are correct. Not liking some of the endorsements though. That being said, pretty sure Paul Ryan is a never Trumper.
If Ron keeps to his word not to run against Trump, we will know for sure.
