Uk fan here coming to the game in october. It will be our first time and i couldnt really find much to do in gainesville on google. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It will just be me and my wife so we want some good food and drinks, and maybe a must see or do in gainesville. Thanks

Gainesville is a college town. Small bars and restaurants. It's not a busling metropolis.

What would you like to do?

if you want LOCAL flavor, you've got the Butterfly Forest, Paynes Prairie and Devil's millhopper.

Flagler Beach is about an hour away.

my old weed connection from 1990 was in Oxford manor.

Well of course, nothing like getting a big uk win over the gators and getting laid...oh wait thats never happened! And i guess if its like lexington, theres not much to do so what are the best restaurants and bars?

The Swamp is decent. Social is better than decent, but a bit more pricey. Both are on University Ave and within walking distance to BHG. There are numerous student dives along the same road

If it were me, I’d be trying to join up with BONG, Trip & 56..... but that might not be wife friendly ..... but then I guess that depends on the wife

Go to the beaches, or Orlando then drive back for game day.

Go Canes!

Original Sonny's off of Waldo Rd...

Just on the west side of I-75 off University Ave on Tower Rd. is Napolatano's, a long time staple as a quality independent Italian restaurant. Very good.

I was at a gunshop in that plaza about a month ago, I dont think Nappys is there no more.

EDIT: I checked on Yelp and I am happy to announce i was wrong.

Def take a 20 minute road trip to Waldo and check out the flea market, top 5 in the state
