We all want 4 and 5* kids

but for me I want balance. Our last three coaches stunk at that

ifnyou look at Bama, Ohio St, etc they take 3 CB, a S, a QB and 4 OL, and on and on. They recruit a roster.

Our last 12 years we take 6 DB and 1 OL.

Billy addressed organization in recruiting so I feel very confident we will clean this up.

What is it people hope to see?

I want to see a functional and highly effective recruiting staff that can corner the market on as many 4-5 stars as possible. If we can finish in the top 5 of the recruiting rankings like we did back in the Urban Meyer era, (and that will take time) rest assured we'll have something big on our hands

I want to feel like we aren’t always having to fall back on our plan B or C kids. Our recruiting has been so mediocre that even the kids who just fall into your lap at certain programs were getting poached. I want to feel like we’re going to get who we want as often as we don’t. You can’t get all of them, but we haven’t gotten close to our share for awhile. I want to feel like we’re going to be able to get our share of blue chip prospects and not have to settle for what alabama and uga don’t want.

Recruit at a high level and yes rankings are somewhat important (name me the last program to win a national title or SEC champ without a top 5 class). I also would like to see balance and more importantly better recruiting on the lines of scrimmage. In Florida finding athletes really isn’t the problem. Recruit the QB position really good and the LOS.

LOS and specifically OL has been our achilles since Meyer. Even with coaches who wanted to dominate the LOS

You have to recruit to need, but fill that need with quality players. Muschamp did that well on the defensive side, but was terrible with his offensive recruiting. Mullen was just a mediocre recruiter who seemed to settle for 3 star guys and a batch of 4 stars. He signed only 2 Five star players during his tenure, while Georgia signed 20. Napier has to do better than that, but more importantly, he has to address positional needs every year and upgrade the skills of those positions, especially in the trenches.

Super happy to hear Napier confirm that the university is ponying up the money to rival these other top programs in what it takes to build a recruiting monster. Scared money don't make money baby!

Go Gators!
