We've become either Kentucky or Vandy

Josh Hammond said, "they just wanted it more." How is that possible?

I'm sure this is true, but that wasn't the only problem. They were also much better prepared. Also, they had better players, it looked like.

If they players wanted it more than the other players...that starts with the coaches.

If the coaches wanted it more...of course that's on the coaches.

It starts from the top.

Well, the only fair thing I will say to our players, because Nuss and the staff get none... It's not every game we will be facing a killing machine like Michigans DC, Mattison and staff, with time to prep. That defense is still really good, really good.

Nuss at Fresno St. - 2008
Before 419.5
During 387.2
After 430.5
~ Fail

Nuss at Washington - 2009-10-11 (with Steve Sarkisian)
Before 263.2
During 09-375.5, 10-362.5, 11-409.8
After 355.2
~ Small Success

Nuss at Bama - 2012-13
Before better than with Mc, but Mc had improved his before.
During 12-445.5 -- 13-454.1
After 484.5 under Kiffin
Bama made steady progress from Mc to Nuss to Kiffin, but Mc started it.
~ Maintained

Mich 2014
Before 373.5
During 333.0 -- could not save Hoke's failing job
After instantly better
~ Fail

Florida 2015-16-17
Before poor
During stinks
After Dumpster Fire - I can now hardly wait for the next after at UF to begin...

Nuss's poor performance, but Mc's correct, it's his problem to solve.
I gave Nuss a break for the 1st two years because of the problem he inherited.
~ However, this year he has zero excuses to fall back on imo. o_O

Mc on Franks: "he’s going to be a good player,”
Without the 'coach speak' he just said that Franks is not a good player now.
Well Duh!

“I thought Malik, he was looking probably to get out of the pocket first before delivering the ball. You could see that from the standpoint of the comfort piece and that’s something he’s got to better at.”
At least Malik knows that he sucks at throwing the ball,,, and now he and everyone else knows that he also sucks at running the ball, or getting rid of the ball, or even holding on to the ball....

Mc tried to excuse the crappy play of both QB's by blaming in on; "the Gators’ porous OL play."

What he really needs imo, is a better OC, instead of continuing to carry his long time friend...

Critical Question: Who chooses which QB will start, and which will be the backup(s)?
Same Question concerning RB M.Davis, Ath K.Toney, and WR D.Green?
Solution: Maybe a good horse whipping to begin with....
=====

Dear Mc-Nuss, after you lose to tennis-sea's 'Life Champion' head-BJ again, don't change a thing. Keep on using Franks, Zaire, and LDR, while continuing to set back any progress for Trask and Allen.

Stick with the inept offensive game plans, the clueless play calling, and the total lack of any in game adjustments to what the other team is doing

~ That should cure all of the current coaching problems, and probably sooner rather than later... o_O
Because it's not just a one game loss. It's the obvious coaching problems, and the lack of corrections to the problems,,, that are the real problems.

Media and/or others: as to any lack of talent on the team, guess again. According to rivals recruiting:
2017 = 15 players rated at 4 stars, 8-O & 6-D.
2016 = 10 players rated at 4-5 stars, 8-0 & 1-D plus 1-D 5 star DE.
2015 = 7 players rated at 4-5 stars, 4-0 plus 1 5 star LT & 1-D plus another 5 star DE.

Totals: 32 players that were 4-5 star rated.
That included 2 DE 5 stars and 1 LT/LG 5 star.
And several of the 3 stars have earned All SEC and/or AA honors..
About a dozen began the 2017 season on the various Watch Lists.

* Chris Peterson won big at BSU with 2-3 star rated players, but then, he can coach and motivate...

10 Suspended Players
4 Stars = Callaway, Scarlett, R.Wells, J.Robinson, K.Telfort.
3 Stars = K.Davis, J.Smith, R.Desir-Jones, V.Miller, J.Houston

Only 2 of them, Callaway & Scarlett, were starters. Both are on their 2nd suspensions.
They should both be team leaders instead being the major team distractions.
(I would begin any 'house-cleaning' with the two of them)

Marcus Spears apparently agrees: “Let’s be clear with Antonio, these are decisions now. They’re not mistakes. If I’m a player on that team, I’m like, ‘We can’t count on this dude. Bottom line."
This is already the 3rd go for Dumb-a-way,,, that we on the outside know about....
How are Dumb-away's actions helping James Robinson's decision making???

I think what you meant to write is that Vandy and UK might have better coaches than Florida right now

Well I'll be damned. I not only agreed with one Insta post but I agreed with TWO of them. Surely our alien overlords have arrived?

It's the Vulcan mind meld.

Poor little Pity Tat. If it weren't for the players trying to get Dooley fired in 2011 and laid down to lose 7-10,, the streak would be at 32 years in a row and counting over you wretches instead of 1 for 32.. The streak that was the 2nd longest in the nation is now the longest and it is Florida over you Pity Tats.

Pity Tats are 5-46 vs UT since 1965

Since the day General Neyland was hired to lay the wood to everybody in the SEC, The Pity Tat record is `14-73-6 against UT. ( and the General missed 4 years fighting the Japs in the Pacific in the China/India/Burma theater and another building the defenses for the Panama Canal..

Pity Tats are actually WORSE than Vandy against UT over all..
SEC gave the Pity Tats a SECC consolation prize in 1950 to try to keep Bear Bryant there even though UT whipped them in Lexington and won the National Championship.

Still didn't work. B'ar jumped for the Junction Boyz.

Well UK has certainly come closer over the years against yall than us, they've really only threatened since the mid 90's against us about 3 times, and that's maybe being kind and adding one, from either 02 or 14 in OT... The other one was 03, so you can add one of the other two or both, or maybe 15 but they were never gonna score and beat that defense... I might be forgetting one somewhere but most of them have been blowouts relatively...

That game Dooley lost was hilarious, they let a WR at QB beat them that game right? I remember watching that and it looked like all our games over the last 8 years, but on both sides...

To the U.K. Game? Let me know if so and I'll FB where our tailgate is.... I usually fly gator meat up for that tailgate - though I don't know if Gatorama survived w/o power yet

I was a 21-yr old student at UK and was in attendance the last time UK beat the Gators in 86. I just turned 52 on Tuesday and it really makes me feel old to realize how long that's been. What's also sad to see on the UK board is a large segment of younger posters who have never experienced a UK win Florida.

I took my then 8-yr old son to the UK-UT game in 2011 and yes we had a WR play QB that day. Probably the only time Joker Phillips actually out-coached the other team.

Good luck against the Vols on Saturday!!

I was at that game too.... I also remember taunting them with my car keys, just like everyone else in the stands that day..... a prime example of how karma can be a bleeding b!tch on Prozac

...... oh, and then we (UK) hired Bill Curry who had previously told Steve Spurrier he wasn't cut out to be a coach before he fired him. Steve believes karma is a b!tch too.... except he buys her that Prozac, and she's grateful

Vols reduced to talking trash to Kentucky. Sad.

Ok, yes, we do it too, but only for basketball.
