It be comical if it wasn’t so sad. Let’s face it. Being able to vote without proving your identity it’s stupid. It’s always been stupid. And those that abuse the system by cheating throw out there the racism card whenever you say you should have to show an ID to vote. For God sake‘s of course you should have to show an ID to vote. It’s the only way to have a fair and legal election. If you can’t be bothered to get a government ID card, either a drivers license or something else issued by your state proving you are a citizen then you don’t deserve to vote. It should be part of your duty as a citizen. As a citizen you should want fair elections and that means identification to prove you have the right to vote and that every vote is legal.
Clearly the only reason to argue against this is if you have something to gain from people casting Votes without proving they have the right to do so. Another words you have something to gain from illegal votes.

Please, somebody, anybody on either side of this debate in this forum please give me a valid reason why there should not be proper voter identification before a ballot is considered legal.

1) Desantis wasn’t elected by mail on votes. They don’t allow mail in voting in FL.

2) I don’t recall the stories of long lines at polling places in Fulton Co, but I do recall someone posting a video of herself counting mail in ballots with no return addresses and later pulling suitcases out from under a table that had 132k votes only for Joe. Strange coincidence.
3) Joe Biden is much better at pussy grabbing - he didn’t just locker room talk, he walked the walk. Then when she refused he ruined her career...and later allowed the press to disappear her. Please make sure your daughters know you support that. Make sure they hear Terah Reid tell her side of the story (for which she gained nothing by telling).
4) 5 states are vote by mail, but you know what they do that GA, PA, etc didn’t? Verify signatures. You know that one thing that’s the only possible way to check the validity of a ballot that has no chain of custody? Yep, their process actually looks at that. Crazy, I know.
5) All 5 of those states aren’t contested, they are very blue. Makes no sense to cheat when you don’t need to, does it?

I’m trying real hard not to post but when I see such ignorance delivered with this type of fervor I can’t help myself. Elevate the discourse.

I believe a universal voter ID card is a great idea, as long as they are free and set up in such a way that even the poor and yes, even the homeless, are capable of getting one without hurdles. Hurdles such as proof of residency, which is pretty tough for the homeless.

In return, I want to see a much greater effort made to provide access to voting for those for whom voting is a hurdle. It's easy for you or me, with our homes, and our cars, to drive to the DMV, show 3 forms of proof of residency, get an ID, then later drive to the precinct and vote. But for those without transportation, or a legal address, it is extremely difficult to accomplish those things.

So let's make one concerted, bipartisan effort, to make it practically impossible for illegal votes to be cast while at the same time making it extremely easy for legal votes to be cast. Anybody else on board?

We still need to address how to prevent illegals and non-residents from voting. If we can work that out, I am game.
 
I’m not sure I understand why preventing illegal voting is only a conversation worth having if we can solve that pesky hang up of proving residency for homeless people? That doesn’t sound like someone who is interested in fixing any voting issues we currently have.

Let's try to better define "homeless". People commonly consider homeless to equate to "street people". This is untrue. The vast majority of homeless people stay with friends and relatives, often on a rotating basis, sleeping on couches or the floor, or a spare bedroom if they are lucky. For many it's a temporary situation until they can pull their life back together, but not for all. However, the fact that they do not have a utility bill with their name on it does not mean they lose their right to vote.

I am far more concerned with everybody with the right to vote being able to vote than I am with having voter ID's. But the best case scenario is to have both.

None of those friends and family will let them use their address to take part in voting? I mean where are these “homeless” people getting their mail? And no one says they lose the right to vote. Obtaining a valid ID isn’t hard, even for “homeless” people. But if “homeless” voting is the hill you’re going to die on and won’t bother hearing anything out have at it. You could have just said you don’t want to make any voting changes instead of throwing out something impossible to fix.

It's unfair to ask someone like me to obtain a photo ID to present at a voting site. The actual goal is voter fraud.

We watched voter irregularities in 5 or more states. Philadelphia County, Wayne County, Milwaukee County, and Fulson County, et al counted votes mysteriously past Election Day till they had votes needed to give Biden an all time record 80 million votes.

Biden is the stiff who can barely draw flies to a Phoenix rally. Ms. Lockupabruthuh draws 4 dozen Hispanics in Miami most wearing MAGA hats.

The U. S. average IQ is 98. Biden has begun by keeping his promise of economic stagnation. Americans are not stupid enough to deliver Biden a legal 80 million legal votes.

My wife's name isn't on our utility bills yet somehow she is registered to vote.

The fact that this guy reports ANYONE for name calling and insulting folks continues to simply flummox me. The irony and hypocrisy are next level.

When reporting people for breaking the rules, he flat out accuses me of having different rules for different posters. My role, as I see it, is to let you guys do your thing and only step in when absolutely necessary. I'd prefer to keep it this way and seriously doubt I'm alone on that.

Good lord at the butthurt and demands for the Ministry of Truth. 🤣
