If McCarthy isn't the choice, someone eager to battle the woke and shake things up will be chosen eventually. The Democrats are on the outside looking in. They'll have their puppet Jeffries to keep voting for in vain and that is all. What's happening is America First candidates are showing McCarthy status quo from the past won't fly this time, and are demanding committee appointments and other concessions. My guess is that they will get them eventually or McCarthy will go down in flames.
I think that this is what the America First types think they are doing. I just wonder if they dont find themselves on the outside looking in, with corporate dems and corporate reps agreeing to someone worse than McCarthy
I guess my view is that the "status quo" is a very powerful cabal. They are not about to crack to 20 America First republicans, any more than the powerful were ever going to let crypto win. Its chess, not checkers.
