I know tracking Elijah Blades' situation has been somewhat of a rollercoaster since the grad-transfer DB from Texas A&M officially visited roughly three weeks ago.
At first, the expectation was that Blades was going to commit shortly after wrapping up his official visit in Gainesville, or at least later that weekend when he got home, but that obviously never happened and here we are today.
@CJ Clarke recently posted on the board that Blades has to finish a few online classes before being eligible to transfer. That's been consistent with what I've been hearing as well, including this morning from someone in the know. From what I'm told, Blades should be in Gainesville at the end of July/beginning of August. That's the plan.
"Blades is coming in a few weeks. Should be good once his final class is passed," a source told GT.
Hopefully there are no additional hiccups before now and then, but that is the latest regarding the defensive back.
