1. Th OL doesn't stay on blocks until the whistle. Too many times, they throw a block and then let the defender go and the QB/RB has to fend for themselves. After the first block attempt, they turn around and watch to see what happens. They are seldom seen way downfield blocking for our ball carriers.
2. The WR's don't run inviting route trees when they don't think the play is coming to them. That lets the opposing DB's check off them and assist in the action. Too many times our WR that catches the ball is tackled by 3 or more DB's and has little chance to get any YAC.
3. Our QB's don't execute good ball fakes. Seldom is the RB tackled that they faked the ball to so it doesn't slow down the processing of the play by the D.
4. Our WR's don't come back to the ball to help the completion and thus allow the DB's time and space to get back into the action and defend the throw.
5. Our DT/DE's don't anticipate throws when they are stopped and put their hands up to deflect/bat down passes.
6. Our DB's were too busy tweeting instead of getting coached up to see what adjustments UT would make at halftime. They were carved up in the 2nd half by a guy they made look sick in the first half. They gave up 399 yds in the air, most of it in the 2nd half. See #5 for contributing factor.
7. Only 2 players ran the ball for UT. One got it 28 times for 97 yds and the other ran for 80. We can't stop that despite their OL being inferior according to everyone?
8. We didn't even try to go downfield during the 2nd half as we shut it down on the O and lost the Mo. They filled the box and we kept going 3 and out.(4times in a row at one point)
9. After a brilliant first half, our play calling became predictable as we only wanted to run out the clock and take a win back home.
10. AC's only catches in the 2nd half were punts he should have deked UT out on so the ball could enter the end zone for a touchback.
11. Powell wasn't heard from until he was called for a faux punch and ejected. He's a player who should have had some touches and his talent was wasted in the play calling.
12. We wasted TO's the whole game and it came back to bite us when we needed them to slow down UT and make adjustments.
This is from looking at our first 4 games but especially after our first blown win.
